General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could get help from a surprise whistleblower when Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) overhears Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) plotting a secret move. This could put Michael’s plans for Sonny’s downfall in jeopardy, so let’s talk about this tricky situation.
GH fans got a shock when Dex (Evan Hofer) was revealed to be Michael’s latest hire.
It was pretty obvious from the get-go that Dex was a plant, but the twist came in him working for Sonny’s own son!
Now that Michael is obsessed with revenge, he’s gone as far as recruiting Dex to take Sonny down. O
f course, we have our doubts about whether Michael can really destroy THE Sonny Corinthos.
That’s especially true since Sonny knows Michael’s coming for him and is trying to stay on guard.
Brando Corbin (temporarily played by Brad Schmidt) already has bad vibes when it comes to Dex, so he’ll continue to clash with him and battle suspicions.
In the meantime, it’ll be Leo who serves as Sonny’s unexpected ally.
Leo is a curious kid, so he’s always watching and listening – even when the adults around don’t realize it.
Since Leo adores his new horse, he might steal some extra moments with him while Michael’s busy nearby on the phone with Dex.
Then again, Leo might listen in at the Metro Court pool since a big event is coming up there.
Regardless, Leo will overhear something he shouldn’t and realize Michael’s plotting a bold move against Sonny.
That could lead to Leo piping up and wondering why Michael would want to hurt his dad.
Leo loves Sonny, so he’ll no doubt have questions and concerns.
Michael may try to explain things as best as he can, but this could bring some guilt and leave him worried about whether Leo will stay quiet.
There’s also a chance that Leo will skip confronting Michael and divulge his fears to someone like Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) or even Sonny himself.
It’d serve Michael right if a child blew up his scheme and gave Sonny the upper hand.
That could happen if Leo can spill enough about Michael’s next move and perhaps remembers he was talking to someone named Dex.
Whatever the case, Leo will become a key player during the week of June 20-24 – potentially one with the power to derail Michael’s whole revenge plot.
