General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, August 25, tease that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will make a panicked SOS call while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) faces a rescue opportunity. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will also reject Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) attempt to comfort him, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
First, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will enjoy some kisses and flirty moments with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), who’ll ultimately resolve to make a confession.
Liz will insist she likes to be taken by surprise, but she surely won’t like it this time around!
That’s because Finn secretly contacted Liz’s sister, Dr. Sarah Webber (Sarah Laine). Although Finn found a solution other than contacting Liz’s parents, she may feel like he was trying to get off on a technicality.
This was a breach of trust and another example of Finn ignoring the boundaries Liz set in place. Finn truly wants to help Elizabeth, but constantly going behind her back isn’t the way to do it.
Next, Nikolas will find Spencer sulking in the stables, so he’ll try to give his son a pep talk ahead of his Pentonville stint.
Spencer won’t be very receptive to Nikolas’ comfort, but Nik will make it clear that he’s not giving up on Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) or his son.
Meanwhile, Victor will think Ava needs to understand what’s at stake. As far as Victor is concerned, they can either be enemies or family.
Ava may ask if that’s a threat, so Victor might admit it is and insist she’d be wise to stay in line.
When it comes to the Cassadine clan, Victor doesn’t tolerate wayward outsiders.
At the Metro Court pool, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will urge Nina to ride to the rescue herself. Perhaps Obrecht will argue that Liesl shouldn’t let anyone scare her away from the picnic.
This “rescue” may be about saving Nina herself from a lonely night without Sonny.
However, Sonny will be busy with Olivia in the meantime since there’ll be a crisis at the Quartermaine mansion.
Thursday’s GH preview video shows a frantic Olivia on the phone as she urges Sonny to do something.
Since Sonny has “people,” Olivia will apparently expect him to call for mob backup.
The Quartermaine picnic will wind down with some danger – starting with a risky situation for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Now that Drew and Carly have shared a kiss, they’ll bask in a special moment together.
Drew will grip Carly’s face tenderly and suggest she has no idea how many times he’s pictured this.
Unfortunately, Carly and Drew’s romantic scene will be derailed by the danger that’s brewing.
That could have something to do with the mysterious hook-toting villain who’s set to appear before the week’s over.
