General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, August 25 Recap – Sonny Puts Out Fire – Spencer Hears Ava Say Nik Slept With Esme

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 25, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) put out a fire after Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) mistake. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) also exposed the Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) truth to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) – or at least part of it!

At the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) freaked since the desserts hadn’t arrived for the picnic yet.

After ranting at someone over the phone, Olivia pushed Sonny to help and realized she’d sent the desserts to the Metro Court by mistake.

However, there was a delay in dealing with that crisis since another one broke out.

While Drew and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) were on the verge of making love inside the boat house, the unmanned grill caught fire outside.

After Olivia got a security alert, Sonny rushed over and put the fire out. Once Drew and Carly emerged from the boathouse together, Drew took the blame for leaving the grill unattended.

Carly piped up that she was there too and seemed to enjoy Sonny’s glare.

At the Metro Court pool, an employee filled Nina in on the dessert delivery mishap.

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) urged Nina to ride to the rescue herself by taking the desserts over to the picnic.

Once Nina arrived, she got updates on the fire and rushed to find Sonny. After Nina pulled Sonny into a relieved hug, she realized she overreacted since the fire was already out.

Nina also picked up on the vibe between Drew and Carly, so she mentioned that to Sonny later.

Sonny was more interested in focusing on Nina and was pleased that she joined the picnic after all.

At the stables on Thursday’s GH episode, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) found Spencer sulking on the staircase.

Spencer clearly had a broken heart and didn’t think anyone would miss him while he was at Pentonville.

Nikolas assured Spencer that he’d miss his son and pitched the idea of a Greece trip when he got out.

Spencer thought Nikolas painted a nice picture, but he just couldn’t see it actually happening.

Inside the Quartermaine mansion, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) acknowledged that Nikolas screwed up badly when he cheated on Ava.

That said, Victor assured Ava that when you attack one Cassadine, you attack them all.

With that in mind, Victor basically warned that Ava would rather have him as family than an enemy.

Besides, Ava would have no one if she turned away from Nikolas and the Cassadines.

Once Nikolas found out about Victor’s warning, he assured Ava that she had him.

Nikolas thought they were making progress at the picnic earlier and truly wanted a fresh start.

After Nikolas pulled Ava into a lip lock, she pushed him away. Ava insisted it was too late for words and kisses now.

Back with Victor, he ran into Spencer and pointed out Nikolas would be losing his son to Pentonville soon. Victor acted like Spencer should stop feeling sorry for himself and think of his father.

Once Spencer tracked Nikolas down, he overheard Ava insisting Nik broke them when he slept with Esme.

Nikolas looked up to find Spencer glaring at him in a fury.

Over with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), they mingled at the picnic before making out in the stables.

Liz wanted a blanket so they could take a step further, so Finn went to look for one.

After a call came in on Finn’s phone, Elizabeth saw Sarah Webber’s (Sarah Laine) name on the caller ID and didn’t look happy about it.

After Olivia and Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) had another conversation about the Sicilian thunderbolt, fans saw a flashback of Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) getting cups from the tray.

Smiles were exchanged as Yuri asked Terry’s name later. Yuri introduced himself and offered his arm to Terry as they strolled off together.

Back with Carly and Drew, they had a conversation about fires and how they could be beautiful as well as dangerous if untamed.

Part of Carly was sorry for the interruption, but another part of her was glad for this chance to mull things over – though Drew was a “hell of a kisser.”

Drew admitted Carly was a good kisser too and seemed a little disappointed as she walked away. Carly offered a small sigh of her own as she looked back at Drew.

General Hospital spoilers say Carly and Drew will have to figure out if they’re willing to take this leap together, so stay tuned.
