General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 4, reveals that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was arrested after a wild attack – and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) got caught threatening the jury foreman for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
In the Metro Court parking garage, Sasha confronted Grant Smoltz (David Lautman) and Sienna Colby (Cynthia Zitter) for trying to set her up.
Smoltz pushed Sasha’s buttons over using drugs again and wondered if she started back up when her baby died.
While Sienna scolded Smoltz for being insensitive, Sasha cried nearby before rage took over.
After grabbing a valet parking post, Sasha began smashing Smoltz’s windshield – leaving him thrilled to become the Face of Deception’s next victim.
Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) arrived to witness the horror, so he pulled Sasha close to stop her outburst and warned Smoltz to shut his mouth.
At the police station, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) talked to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) about turning down an out-of-town assignment and hoped it wouldn’t knock him out of future ones.
Jordan understood the pressure of being a single parent and vowed to pass along missions that might be closer to home.
Once a call came in about the altercation at the Metro Court, Dante rushed over to investigate.
Sasha was completely out of it and in no condition to give a statement.
Dante tried to get Smoltz to drop this, but he threatened a lawsuit and definitely wanted to press charges.
There was also talk about Smoltz’s dashboard camera, which caught Sasha doing the damage.
Sasha was arrested and taken to the PCPD, so Brando panicked since she’d have to stay the night behind bars.
Brando tried to talk Jordan out of this, but her hands were tied.
Over a phone call, Brando filled Sonny in and learned there was nothing Sonny could do until morning – at least nothing conventional.
Sonny still wanted to come support Brando, but Brando decided it might upset Sasha even more.
Sasha was almost in a catatonic state as she faced fingerprinting and had her mugshot taken.
Brando tried to give Sasha reassurance before she was led away, but she was clearly in bad shape.
Sonny also talked to Dex about how there might be a place for him in his organization.
Dex was tasked with finding the jury foreman in Trina’s case and making it crystal clear that she needed to get acquitted.
After Dex asked why Sonny was helping Trina, Sonny argued that part of the job was not asking questions.
Dex understood, but he also thought trust worked both ways.
Sonny reserved the right not to answer Dex’s questions, but he chose to answer this one since Trina was a good girl who’d been set up.
Dex realized Sonny was trying to right a wrong and took off to do what he was told.
At Kelly’s, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) gave Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) the news on Cameron Webber (William Lipton) knowing about Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) Esme takedown plan.
Josslyn tried to be understanding, but she was also irritated and compared it to how Carly knew things were off with Sonny.
Carly argued that she had moved on from her Sonny resentment and pushed Josslyn to let go, too.
Outside, Dex approached the jury foreman and explained things offscreen.
After Dex got confirmation that the man understood, Josslyn appeared and recognized the guy from Trina’s jury.
After the jury foreman took off, Josslyn demanded Dex’s name and basically acted like he couldn’t play the victim now.
It was obvious to Josslyn that Dex was willingly playing by Sonny’s rules, but he refused to divulge anything.
Once Josslyn headed back inside, she filled Carly in on what she witnessed.
Josslyn didn’t approve of how Sonny was handling things, but Carly acknowledged that Sonny was trying to help since it wasn’t fair that Trina had been set up.
Dex made it back to Sonny’s office, where he admitted Josslyn interrupted and allowed the jury foreman to bolt.
That left Dex uncertain of whether the message truly got through, so he guessed they’d have to wait and see.
Sonny dismissed Dex and talked to Frank, who had been assigned to watch Dex from afar. Since Dex told the truth and didn’t leave anything out, Sonny seemed pleased.
Back with Dex, he got Michael on the phone and wanted to meet so they could renegotiate his deal.
At the hospital, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) got updates from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) on Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) likely drugging Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) at the cabin.
Curtis filled Portia in on the same drug being in Oz Haggerty’s (Max Faugno) system.
TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) was willing to give Oz a special drug reversal dose that could bring him out of the coma faster, but Portia shut him down.
That would mean risking cognitive impairment or death, so she didn’t want TJ putting his career on the line.
Once TJ left the room, Curtis realized Portia intended to administer this dose herself.
Portia didn’t care about the consequences since she had to get Oz awake and give him a chance to talk.
It was Trina’s best shot at freedom, but Portia wanted to keep Curtis out of this. Curtis insisted they were in this together and embraced a distraught Portia.
General Hospital spoilers say Portia’s on the verge of taking a major gamble, so stay tuned!
