General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 4, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will get some shocking news while a police bust happens at the Metro Court. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will also flip out over a discovery she makes, so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Port Charles.
First, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will spot something surprising outside Kelly’s and report back to her mom.
Carly will also get some stunning info regarding Josslyn’s relationship, which is in a complicated place right now due to the secrets Cameron Webber (William Lipton) has been keeping.
Josslyn tried to be understanding about Cam staying tight-lipped for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), but she’s still bothered by the deception.
Carly will be taken aback when she realizes Spencer has been playing Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and trying to score evidence with Cameron as backup.
Josslyn deserved honesty as Cameron’s girlfriend, so she may vent to Carly and get some support.
Of course, Carly’s mind may go to her own secret since she knows Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter.
Over with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he’ll have a new mission for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Dex will assure Sonny that whatever it is, he’s in.
Since Dex is willing to do anything to prove himself, Sonny will think there may be a more permanent position in his organization if Dex can rise to this challenge.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wants Dex to make it in the inner circle – and he’ll be well on his way if he can fulfill Sonny’s latest demands.
This could be Dex’s chance to become Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) replacement if he plays his cards right.
It seems Dex may get dragged into some jury tampering or some other way to make sure Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) gets acquitted.
That’s become Sonny’s priority thanks to his conversation with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), who’s trusting him to keep Trina out of prison.
At GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) may come up with a strategy to bring Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) out of his medically induced coma with fewer risks.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will be all for getting Oz awake and alert since he could point the finger at Esme.
However, TJ’s plan could still create problems.
Portia will stumble across TJ and presumably Curtis in the middle of their latest gamble, so she’ll flip out and wonder what they think they’re doing.
No one wants to clear Trina’s name more than Portia, but she can’t let TJ put his career on the line – nor can she put Oz’s life at stake.
It’s tough to believe TJ would truly risk serious harm to Oz, so maybe this new plan of his will indeed be a safer one.
Meanwhile, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will discuss the possibility of becoming the chief of detectives somewhere down the line.
Mac Scorpio (John J. York) isn’t ready to retire yet, but he urged Dante to think about taking over for him in the future.
Dante will talk to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) about the road ahead, but she’ll have to deal with a police crisis soon.
Brando will corner Jordan and express concern for Sasha since he can’t find her.
There’ll be growing fears about Sasha’s mental state and how long she can make it on her own.
Sasha certainly isn’t doing well since she just caught Sienna Colby (Cynthia Zitter) in cahoots with Grant Smoltz (David Lautman).
Since Sasha thought Sienna was a friend, she’ll fume over this betrayal and push for answers about the setup.
Sienna may insist it’s not personal and argue that she just wanted some quick cash.
As for Smoltz, he’s also interested in getting some money-making clicks and sees the potential for Sasha to become infamous.
There’ll be a police altercation that makes waves at the Metro Court, so Sasha may launch that with her latest outburst.
Brando, Jordan and perhaps Dante could find a chaotic scene upon their arrival.
Sasha will end up locking herself away for a meltdown alone at some point, so her mental state will go from bad to worse!
