General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 22, reveals that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) quizzed Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about what she did to change the civilian complaint review board’s decision. Brook Lynn didn’t understand why she was getting the third degree since this is what Chase wanted.
Linc Brown (Dan Buran) interrupted since they needed to get going on Chase and Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) performance.
If they didn’t make this happen, Brook Lynn could kiss their partnership and her songs goodbye.
Soon after on Thursday’s GH episode, Blaze and Chase took the stage to perform a new song.
Following the performance, Brook Lynn hoped this meant Chase was willing to give them another shot.
Chase agreed to give their business partnership another try – but nothing more.
Brook Lynn hoped they could get past their relationship issues too, but Chase insisted they couldn’t and stomped off.
Over with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), they joined Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) before Mac stepped away for a call.
Later, Mac wanted Felicia to come with him since there was a lead on Rory Cabrera’s (Michael Blake Kruse) murder – one that went back to Felicia and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).
Forensics had pulled DNA that matched the earring and confirmed it belonged to Ryan’s ex-wife, Gloria Wilson.
Felicia pointed out that she witnessed Gloria’s murder when Ryan killed her 30 years ago.
Dante questioned the connection, so Felicia suggested they should go get to the bottom of it since this was now personal.
Meanwhile, Nina was dressed in a Santa-ish outfit along with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), who was dressed as an elf.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) brought Donna Corinthos (Arya & Ayla Dormiani) over so she could give Nina a Christmas gift, which turned out to be an ornament.
Afterward, Donna said her Christmas wish was for Sasha to have a happy new year. Sasha was touched over the news and led Donna off for some hot cocoa.
At home, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was surprised when Ava Jerome (Maura West) brought Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) by for a visit.
Ava said she’d wait in the car while Carly and Avery had hot chocolate, but Carly invited Ava to join them.
Once Avery opened her present and headed upstairs for a moment, Carly asked about Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and realized there was trouble in paradise.
After Carly pointed out Ava had gloated about her divorce from Sonny, Ava admitted that “karma was indeed a bitch.”
Carly got updates on Nikolas cheating multiple times with multiple women, so she let Ava know she was sorry and hoped the new year would be a fresh start for all of them.
By the side of the road, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) had a flat tire and no service on her phone.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) showed up and realized this was exactly where he needed to be.
After Dex confessed he was tailing Josslyn, he made sure she was OK.
Once they called for a tow truck, Josslyn suggested Dex didn’t have to wait since it was freezing.
Dex gave his coat to Josslyn, but she pointed out he’d know if she wanted him to take his clothes off.
They flirted as Dex appreciated how direct Josslyn was – at least when she was sure about what she was feeling.
Josslyn and Dex ultimately moved in close before passion took over. Dex kissed Josslyn deeply, so she kissed back and turned it into a full-blown make-out session.
Dex apologized for making things complicated once the tow truck arrived, but Josslyn made it clear that she was responsible for her own choices.
On Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) doorstep, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) said he we changed his mind about leaving town and was wrong about nothing keeping him there anymore.
Although Spencer offered to leave if Trina wanted, she invited him inside.
Trina admitted her only wish this Christmas was to wake up and have these past few days be a bad dream.
Spencer wished he could change everything from the past few years – except coming back to Port Charles since he’d never change meeting Trina.
At Wyndemere, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) sang “Jingle Hell” and talked about the pain that Daddy would cause when he came to slay.
After Esme hinted about a risky plan, she told her unborn baby that they had to do whatever they could to get out of there.
Esme mentioned starting off the new year with a real family, so Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) overheard and acted like Esme had no one except him.
Since Nikolas was drunk and lording his power over her instead of spending time with Ava Jerome (Maura West), Esme suspected Ava might’ve cut Nik loose for good.
Esme taunted Nikolas, but he eventually brought up extra blankets and mentioned turning up the heat since she was cold.
After Nikolas suggested Esme would find out the meaning of loneliness on Cassadine Island, she smirked.
Esme later touched the toilet paper garland on her tree and looked mischievous.
At Spring Ridge, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) put a Santa hat and fake beard on Ryan.
After Heather noted that their Christmas lists had something in common, she said they both wanted justice for their little girl and pain for everyone who had dared to hurt her.
Heather also presented a small box with a bow on it since it was Ryan’s Christmas gift.
Once Heather opened it for Ryan, Mac and Dante arrived along with Felicia.
Heather heard them enter, so she hid the gift and took off the Rudolph getup that Ryan was now sporting. Since Heather was filling in for the orderly, she agreed to translate Ryan’s blinks.
Mac whipped out the evidence bag with the hook earring connected to Ryan’s deceased ex-wife, but Ryan refused to answer questions without Ava present.
There was also talk about the cops searching Ryan’s room to link him to Esme’s crimes.
Before Felicia left, she warned Heather to be careful since Ryan was dangerous – even in his current state.
Once they were alone, Ryan confronted Heather since that earring was on the chain that she pilfered years ago.
Ryan grabbed Heather and snapped at her for keeping the chain, so she took back her Christmas gift for that and sang Silent Night as she strolled off.
After Dec brought Josslyn home, they stood under the mistletoe.
Although they held back from kissing, Dex hoped to see Josslyn again sooner rather than later and couldn’t stop thinking about their earlier lip lock.
Josslyn also found herself thinking about Dex as she settled in for a movie with Carly.
There was snow in Rice Plaza, so that led to Sonny’s romantic moment with Nina as well as Dante and Sam’s own special kiss.
Back with Spencer, he told Trina that he was Esme’s biggest target and came up with a plan to use himself as bait.
Trina objected at first, but she ultimately decided the plan had potential. It was just missing Trina since she felt she was a key factor in all this.
According to Trina, Esme wouldn’t be able to resist coming after them if they pretended to turn to each other after Rory’s death.
Spencer thought it was too risky to drag Trina into the plot to lure Esme out of hiding, but she convinced him they were stronger together.
That led to Trina and Spencer shaking on the deal, so General Hospital spoilers say there’s much more GH drama to come!
