General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, February 24 Recap – Maxie Renames Bailey Louise – Nina Calls Out Sonny’s Alcohol Issues

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, February 24, reveals that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) renamed Bailey Louise Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) called out Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) alcohol issues.

In Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) office, she filled Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) in on her divorce and how Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) would be living with Sonny at the penthouse.

Carly pointed out that if things went south between Sonny and Ava, she could lobby on Ava’s behalf. In exchange, Carly wanted to remain in Avery’s life.

Ava admitted Carly could be a useful ally, but she acted like Nina was perhaps a better one these days.

Carly insisted she had outlasted all of Sonny’s affair and wondered if Ava really wanted to test Sonny’s flavor of the month against her.

In the end, Ava suggested that she loved her daughter – and her daughter loved Carly.

Ava had no desire to make this any harder on Avery by changing anything.

Meanwhile, Sonny woke up on the penthouse sofa with a hangover and questions about the night before.

Sonny convinced Nina to stay for breakfast, so they had some eggs before Sonny showed her his divorce papers.

Sonny also listened to the drunken voicemail that he left for Nina at Charlie’s Pub.

Nina admitted Sonny’s drinking bothered her, so he acted like she was accusing him of being an alcoholic.

However, Nina insisted it wasn’t healthy to be drinking so heavily while on mood-stabilizing medication and seemed truly concerned for Sonny’s well-being.

Sonny eventually moved in close and hugged Nina, which led to a steamy kiss.

At GH, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) got updates on Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) moving in with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) until they could find a place of their own.

Stella advised Portia to keep an eye out for trouble since Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) past could catch up with him.

At the boxing gym, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) assured Marshall that Sonny was a generous guy and downplayed that bad night at The Savoy.

Marshall still seemed wary of Sonny, but he made pleasant small talk with Drew and Curtis before stepping out of the room.

Curtis acknowledged the progress he had made with his father, but he was still worried about Marshall’s past coming back to bite him – especially since he was moving in with Portia.

Drew reminded Curtis about the plan to dangle a job offer that would force Marshall to answer questions directly and honestly – assuming he didn’t find out what they were up to.

Later, Drew crossed paths with Marshall on his way out of the boxing gym and hinted about a proposition to run by him.

Marshall looked a bit suspicious over the news.

Back at GH, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was upset over Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) trying to give her the keys to the city and make her out to be a hero.

Anna didn’t want her life turned into a public spectacle and wasn’t proud of letting Peter August (Wes Ramsey) die.

Robert acknowledged that although Peter was dead, he wasn’t gone.

Robert knew Peter’s shadow lingered over Anna, but he felt she should give that part of her heart to someone who deserved her love – just not Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

That earned a smile from Anna and lifted her spirits.

As for Mac Scorpio (John J. York), he had a romantic reunion with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).

Although Mac didn’t like the way Felicia took off without him, he was proud of how she handled Peter.

At Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) place, Maxie waited with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) while they were getting the baby.

Maxie admitted to all the ways she fantasized about Peter’s death, but things went dark when she imagined taking her daughter back.

Maxie worried Louise wouldn’t want her and always wondered if she’d be strong enough to let go in that case.

Ned reassured Maxie that Louise was indeed hers before Brook Lynn came down with the baby in her arms.

Chase and Ned made themselves scarce, so Brook Lynn offered some tearful tips to Maxie and handed Louise over.

Brook Lynn told Louise that was her mommy – and Louise playfully reached up to touch Maxie’s face.

Outside, Ned quizzed Chase about what was next now that he didn’t have to live with Brook Lynn.

Chase flashed back to his recent kiss with Brook Lynn before Ned asked about them going their separate ways.

Back inside, Maxie informed Brook Lynn that her daughter had one name her whole life. She wasn’t going to take it away and intended to stick with Bailey.

Brook Lynn protested since Louise was named to honor Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan), but Maxie said Brook Lynn was her friend, too.

With that in mind, Maxie declared that the baby’s name was Bailey Louise.

Brook Lynn was also given the title of “Mama Brook Lynn” before Maxie headed out with the baby.

That softened the blow a bit, but Brook Lynn was still a mess of tears.

General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn will have to find a way forward, so hopefully Chase can help!
