General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, January 6, teases that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will suspect Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) naughty night while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has a fire to put out. Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will also offer a warning, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
Ava will stop by Nina’s office – apparently to quiz her about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and where things stand.
It looks like Nina will mention giving Sonny a ride on New Year’s Eve and prompt Ava to think they’re getting to the good stuff now!
Ava may taunt Nina a bit and wonder if any lines were crossed, but Nina may argue that she respects the boundaries of Sonny’s marriage – at least she does now!
That obviously wasn’t the case when Nina fell for “Mike” in Nixon Falls, but she’ll argue that she’s truly rooting for Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Ava may find that difficult to believe, but Nina won’t want to make this more painful for Sonny. She may reiterate that nothing inappropriate happened, especially since Sonny was completely plastered.
Ava might argue that Nina could still have her shot if she plays her cards right, so maybe Nina will keep that possibility buried in the back of her mind.
Meanwhile, Maxie will struggle to stay focused as Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) hypes up Deception business and talks about their IPO being on fire.
Of course, Maxie will be more concerned with a fire she needs to put out – namely the one that’s sparked due to Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) baby curiosity.
It didn’t really take much effort for Tracy to solve the mystery, though Maxie doesn’t know she’s fully figured it out yet.
That revelation should come after Tracy fills Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) on what she’s put together.
Brook Lynn may plead with Tracy to become part of the secret circle since it’s important to keep “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August protected.
Tracy would never intentionally endanger Louise, but she may wonder how long Brook Lynn and Maxie intend to let this go on.
Tracy might think Peter August (Wes Ramsey) being in police custody at GH is enough, but Maxie isn’t convinced it’s safe for the truth to come out yet.
Brook Lynn will eventually share the news of Tracy’s full discovery with Maxie, who’ll wonder how they’re going to contain Tracy.
Maxie may feel like Tracy is a wildcard addition to their plan and the last thing they needed right now.
As for Brando, he’ll express concern over Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) desire to return to work.
Brando will offer a gentle warning and wonder if Sasha is truly ready for that. He won’t see the rush since they’re both still coping with Liam Corbin’s death.
Nevertheless, Sasha will want to distract herself with Deception instead of sitting around sulking. She’ll think this is for the best, but Brando won’t be so sure.
Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) may not be so sure either, but she might point out that Brando can’t dictate Sasha’s choices.
Right or wrong, this is Sasha’s decision to make. Brando will get some comfort from Gladys, who’ll feel confident things are going to work out eventually.
Brando will just hope they can get past all the challenges since he loves Sasha and wants to build a future with her.
Next, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will get a visit from someone out of the blue.
It’ll lead to a confrontation, so we’ll see if this might involve Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), Tracy or another pesky Port Charles resident.
Alexis will also sit down with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) at the Metro Court, where she’ll have questions about some important updates.
Ned may mention some Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) death details that he got from Tracy and pique Alexis’ interest in more ways than one.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will want to check on Sonny in the aftermath of his drunken New Year’s Eve drama.
Sonny may admit Nina made sure he landed somewhere safe, but Dante will grow increasingly curious about his dad’s feelings for Nina and whether what he feels is real.
Sonny can downplay their connection all he wants, but he’s clearly still in love with Nina. The problem is Sonny loves Carly too – and the fact that he can’t make a firm decision will infuriate his wife.
Carly will vent to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) about that on Thursday’s show, but Olivia may offer a new point of view.
Olivia was there for Carly and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) wedding, where the couple’s love was on full display.
If Jason were still alive, could Carly honestly turn off all romantic feelings for him?
Carly will feel like she chose Sonny, but she can’t predict what might’ve happened if Jason hadn’t died.
Olivia might try to steer Carly toward patience and compassion, but that obviously goes against Carly’s nature!
General Hospital spoilers say Carly and Sonny will meet up to discuss their relationship before the week’s over, so stay tuned.
