General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, July 14, tease that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will demand the truth while Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) rocks Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) world. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will also have a drastic plan for Laura Collins (Genie Francis), so let’s talk about what’s ahead.
For starters, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will battle her nerves since it’ll be the first morning of her trial.
To add to the stress of all this, Trina will face a last-minute change in her legal defense – though it might ultimately be a good thing.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will take over as Trina’s attorney, but Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) may argue that Diane is the best in the biz.
Ava will also think back to Trina mentioning some evidence that could help her.
Although Ava will push Trina to reveal what that evidence is, Trina will be reluctant since it’d mean blabbing about Spencer’s prison field trip to the cemetery.
Nevertheless, Trina will at least confess to Josslyn later, so Joss will urge her friend to put herself first and use this alibi.
Josslyn may act like Spencer has treated Trina like garbage and deserves any consequences that come from her decision.
Of course, Josslyn and Trina don’t know that Spencer has a plan of his own in motion – one that’ll enter its next phase soon enough.
Esme will pick up on the fact that Spencer seems rather rattled.
That could be partly due to the kiss Spencer witnessed between Trina and Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse), but Spencer will also be rather wired over his plot and what he’s about to do.
Spencer will eventually tell Esme that he’s about to rock her world, so she’ll wonder what gift he has in mind for her.
This will lead to Spencer claiming he’s found Esme’s biological mother – and in the coming episodes, Spencer will try to pry a confession out of Esme in exchange for info he doesn’t really have.
The fake DNA proof will play a crucial role in the deal Spencer’s about to offer.
In the meantime, Victor will express his anger and disappointment now that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has failed his mission.
After Victor confesses that he’s taken matters into his own hands, Valentin will certainly worry about what his twisted father has in store.
Thursday’s preview video shows Laura wondering if there’s cause for concern, so she might witness a tense interaction and quiz Valentin.
That’s the kind of thing that could add to Laura’s suspicions about what Valentin’s up to.
However, Laura will also want to be there for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and ultimately Trina as this first day in court looms.
If there’s anything Laura can do to help, she’ll certainly want to do it.
As for Victor’s plan, it looks like it’ll involve Laura’s mother. Victor may do something to make sure Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) falls ill or gets injured.
It could at least seem that way to duped Laura, who’ll soon receive some news about Lesley and worry about leaving her other loved ones behind while she cares for her.
Next, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will spend some time trying to bond with Ava again after all their marriage drama.
Unfortunately, Nikolas will be haunted by his hookup with Esme, so that’ll leave some walls up in his current relationship.
Other GH spoilers say Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will work together as they chase a new lead.
Curtis has a list of the bartender’s known associates, so at least one name on that list will pan out and could bring a chance to corner this guy.
Marshall will tell Curtis that he’s feeling lucky, but it seems they’ll be stuck waiting for a while.
That’ll give the two of them an opportunity to strengthen their connection, but Curtis and Marshall won’t lose sight of their ultimate goal.
Helping Trina will be the priority for so many people while this trial is going on, so let’s hope someone can finally come through for her!
