General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, July 14 Update – Trina’s Last-Minute Defense Change – Esme Suspicious – Nik Fights for Ava

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, July 14, teases that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will face a last-minute defense change while Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) grows suspicious. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will also fight for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), so here’s what viewers can expect.

First, Trina’s loved ones will rally around her on the first day of trial.

Ava, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will all be part of Trina’s support system.

When it comes to who’ll be defending Trina in court, we’ll see Diane Jenkins (Carolyn Hennesy) take over as her new lawyer.

Diane is arguably the best attorney in Port Charles, so Trina may welcome this change in the end.

However, Ava will think there’s something else Trina can do to clear her name.

Since Trina hinted about a way to prove her alibi, Ava will think she needs to come clean while she still can.

Trina won’t like the idea of betraying Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and potentially putting him in legal hot water over their cemetery run-in, which happened when he was supposed to be at Spring Ridge.

That encounter shows Trina was busy talking to Spencer at his mother’s grave, not leaking that scandalous video of Josslyn and Cameron Webber (William Lipton).

Trina could possibly help her defense with this news, so she’ll confess to Josslyn and get some urgent advice.

Josslyn will pressure Trina to rat Spencer out, which will make Trina’s decision even tougher.

Next, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will try to locate the bartender who sold Esme the phone to frame Trina.

Marcus Taggert (temporarily played by Asante Jones) will do his part to help work through the list of associates, but Curtis and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will take the lead eventually.

Marshall will have a good feeling about tracking this bartender down and getting him to talk.

This little trip with Curtis will also bring a chance for some father-son bonding, so stay tuned.

Over with Ava and Nikolas, things should feel rather strained.

Although Nikolas will fight for Ava and their future, they’ll have some stress working against them – mostly due to Trina’s trial and the Esme secret that Nik is hiding.

Esme will also grow suspicious when she sees that Spencer is shaken up.

Since Trina’s trial is set to begin, Esme may wonder if this has something to do with her.

Spencer was discouraged when he witnessed Trina and Rory Cabrera’s (Michael Blake Kruse) kiss, so that may be part of his problem.

Nevertheless, Spencer’s main concern will be getting Trina off the hook – and the clock will still be ticking on that.

After Esme notices Spencer’s rattled demeanor, he’ll apparently try to play it off as nervousness over a surprise.

Spencer will think he’s got a gift that’ll blow Esme’s mind – and she’s indeed in for a shock when he claims to have found her birth mother.

Laura will develop some troubling suspicions of her own, so she may stumble upon Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) conflict.

Victor will decide to handle the Laura situation himself since Valentin failed miserably.

That means setting a trap, which will ultimately lead Laura out of town to help Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) in her time of need.

There’ll be some life-changing Laura bombshells by the end of the week, so don’t miss what’s brewing.

General Hospital spoilers say Victor will do whatever it takes to avoid deportation and keep Laura away from his plans in PC.
