General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, March 17, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have a violent meltdown while Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) panics for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). We’ll also have to say goodbye to Sydney Mikayla in the role of Trina Robinson, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
First, Johann (Max Decker) will serve as backup for Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), but Drew will hint that Johann might need protection as well if this meeting goes south.
Sam and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will try to stay in the loop through a listening device, but there’ll be some scary moments where time’s running out.
Drew’s safety is certainly a priority for Sam, especially since Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) would be devastated if she lost her dad again.
Dante and Sam will have to adjust their plan as this process moves along and hopefully keep Drew out of harm’s way.
As part of this trap, Drew’s supposed to fake being reactivated and learn Victor’s secret agenda.
The problem is Victor could figure out Drew’s putting on a show – and if he does, Drew will risk being eliminated!
Fortunately, we know Drew is just fine in spoilers for the week of March 21-25.
Drew will once again turn his attention to helping Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in the coming episodes, so he should make it out of this tight spot unscathed.
Speaking of Curtis, he’ll catch up with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and learn Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) is dealing with another crisis.
Portia can’t believe Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) had the nerve to accuse Trina of making that steamy video and spreading it around.
Portia doesn’t approve of Trina being around Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) at this point either.
Portia will hope Trina listens to her warnings before Esme and Spencer unleash even more chaos on her life.
At Spring Ridge, Trina will give Spencer a nudge toward ditching Esme for good.
Trina will think a breakup is necessary if Spencer wants to prove he actually cares about his real friends.
Spencer may reject the idea of walking away from Esme, so that could be why Trina will make a significant choice.
That might mean Trina will take Portia’s advice and cut Spencer loose as a pal – at least for now.
Sydney Mikayla will take her final bow as Trina on Thursday, March 17, but she’ll be replaced by Tabyana Ali during the week of March 21-25.

Other GH spoilers say Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will get some shocking news from Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), but Britt won’t actually mean to divulge it.
Britt will assume Carly knew already, so this might tie in with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) being declared legally dead.
Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) admitted that was going to petition the court and take that step, especially since it’d provide a little more closure.
Even so, it should hit Carly hard if Britt accidentally springs this on her out of the blue.
At Sonny’s penthouse, he’ll give Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) updates on his conversation with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
Sonny hoped he could make progress with them, but he failed to score any Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weavor) visits for Nina.
That could leave Nina determined to take the case to court and force her way into spending time with Wiley.
GH fans know Nina intends to do whatever it takes to bond with her grandson.
Sonny will fling something off a table and shatter it since he doesn’t agree with either call here.
Sonny doesn’t want this to go before a judge, but he also feels like Michael and Willow are being stubborn.
Nina will be unsettled over Sonny’s violent meltdown and won’t think she really knows him anymore – not the way she knew “Mike.”
Sonny has turned into someone Nina doesn’t recognize, so she’ll be fearful and will believe Sonny needs to get a grip on his rage.
Back with Portia, she’ll face some awkwardness when she crosses paths with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
Portia and Jordan will no doubt make polite small talk, but the truth is they both love the same man.
Jordan may hide her jealousy if she hears that Curtis and Portia will be officially moving in their new house soon.
Jordan will keep pretending she’s happy for the two of them, but she’d no doubt like to reunite with Curtis herself.
Jordan just might get the chance thanks to Stella Henry’s (Vernee Watson) stolen divorce paper fiasco and some other drama that’s in the works.
