General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 3, reveals that Betsy Frank’s (Deborah Strang) name was cleared through new proof while Stella Henry’s (Vernee Watson) stolen divorce papers problem was revisited. Let’s talk about some of the shockers and shakeups that played out in Port Charles.
First, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) agreed to a mysterious meeting despite seeming wary that it might be a trap.
It turns out it was just Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), who lured Anna to the ax throwing club and wanted to truly make peace.
After Liesl and Anna talked about Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) death and rehashed the painful past, Anna decided that perhaps there was a way forward.
Anna wasn’t sure they could ever be friends, but they established that they weren’t enemies and that was enough to bring a smile to Liesl’s face.
At GH, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) listened to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) complain about Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) painting her as a homewrecker.
Nina thought the divorce decision was on Carly and admitted she might have to fight for her rights to be in Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver) life.
Britt assured Nina that she was on her side and had her back since they were family.
However, that also meant Britt had to dish out some tough love. Britt called Nina out on her mistakes and warned about the consequences of turning the Wiley issue into a court battle.
In the end, Nina was grateful to Britt. She admitted that although it wasn’t what she wanted to hear, it was what she needed to hear.
Meanwhile, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) planted a kiss on Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) and was done wasting time after everything Peter had stolen from her.
Maxie teased Austin about being scared and suggested she was ready to explore their feelings out of crisis mode.
Austin decided he liked this new lighter version of Maxie, but she felt the real her was finally shining through.
After Austin asked what Maxie was doing tonight, she insisted she was spending time with her children.
However, Maxie gave Austin a flirty look as she said she’d see him tomorrow.
At The Savoy, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) interrupted Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) as they celebrated finding a new place they both liked.
That brought some pleasant moments as Jordan hugged Portia and offered updates on her recovery.
Jordan tried to excuse herself since they seemed busy, but Curtis pushed her to stay.
Curtis wanted to break the news about moving in with Portia, but Jordan confirmed that she overheard and acted happy for the two of them.
After Portia and Curtis caught Jordan up on some of the latest Port Charles happenings, she had to take off for dinner with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
On her way out, Jordan paused looking distraught before gathering her composure again.
Curtis thought that went well all things considered, but Portia knew from experience that Curtis was a hard man to get over.
Although Curtis pointed out they signed the divorce papers a long time ago, Portia acted like she’d fight for even a slim chance if she were in Jordan’s shoes.
However, Curtis focused on his new place and new chapter with Portia. He felt this would only be the beginning for them.
At GH again, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) ran into Stella and confirmed she was doing better following her stroke.
Cameron still felt terrible about the envelope that was thrown out that day in the confusion.
Stella had a hazy flashback of when she had the stolen divorce papers there with her at Kelly’s.
Stella couldn’t remember what was in the envelope, but she assumed it wasn’t a big deal since she wasn’t notified about any missing documents.
Cameron wanted to buy dessert for Stella, TJ and Henry later, but Stella refused to let him take that out of his payback and brushed off his envelope guilt.
When they parted ways, Stella still seemed a bit unsettled over her memory gaps.
At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house, Betsy got distracted by Liz’s portrait as well as some of Jake Webber’s (Hudson West) artwork.
Liz and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) tried to get Betsy back on track regarding the confession she came to make.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) showed up to help quiz Betsy, who kept getting confused and didn’t seem all there mentally.
When Betsy realized she was being accused of setting the fire in Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) studio and all the other strange occurrences, she denied any involvement.
Betsy insisted she’d never destroy Bobby’s art like that and claimed she couldn’t have been in two places at once.
It turns out Betsy had been under 24-hour surveillance at a mental health clinic until recently, so Dante quickly confirmed that through a call to the clinic’s director.
Liz was apologetic, but Betsy felt she probably would’ve assumed the same thing in Liz’s position.
Betsy just wished she’d been able to tell Bobby she was sorry for letting him down.
Liz knew that if Franco were there, he’d tell Betsy that she had nothing to apologize for.
They wrapped up the conversation on a positive note before Betsy left for the bus station.
Afterward, Liz noticed a sketch of Franco nearby.
Liz told Finn, Dante and Sam that she’d never seen it before and admitted that Jake Webber (Hudson West) drew it based on his signature at the bottom.
General Hospital spoilers say Jake bears at least some guilt in all this, so Liz will keep working to uncover the truth.
