General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 31, reveals that Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) plan failed – and Brendan Byrne (Josh Coxx) had a surprise for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) also mulled over a plea deal, so let’s talk about how Thursday’s GH episode went down.
At Charlie’s Pub, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) complained about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and wondered what else had to happen for people to believe she was innocent. She was surprised to learn Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) took her side when he visited Trina.
However, Esme didn’t think that made up for the horrible things Spencer said. After Esme said she was feeling sick and took off to the restroom, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) admitted he knew about the potential pregnancy because of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).
Although Nikolas acknowledged that Spencer had developed feelings for Trina, he was concerned about Esme feeling alone and stressed. Spencer seemed skeptical over whether there was a baby, but he took a softer approach when Esme returned.
Spencer suggested he’d live at Wyndemere with Esme if Nikolas approved. Nikolas got on board, so it was decided that Spencer and Esme would move in.
Meanwhile, Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) brother, Brendan, looked at The Invader’s latest article online. He zoomed in on Alexis’ picture on the website and saw her bio.
In the kitchen at Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) house, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) discussed the aftermath of the video leak as well as their interview. They ultimately decided to put their own drama on hold and support Trina at her arraignment.
At the courthouse, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) was helping out the assistant district attorney and hoped this wasn’t too awkward, but Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) knew it was just part of Molly’s job.
Trina was offered a deal that would drop the felony charges and could potentially eliminate jail time. She would still have to plead guilty to a cyber sexual harassment misdemeanor – and there were no guarantees on avoiding prison.
Scott felt almost certain he could win the case, but there were no guarantees of that either. Curtis thought it was a matter of what Trina could live with, so she took some time alone with Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) watching over her nearby.
Trina was surprised when Josslyn and Cameron showed up. They all shared a group hug as Cam and Joss assured Trina of their full support. Trina was called back in as court got underway – and moments later, it was time to enter her plea.
In yoga class, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) when she saw Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) across the room. Both Carly and Nina opted to stick around.
Nina told Maxie how she’d recruited Harmony to help make progress with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but Maxie thought that was a risky strategy.
Maxie also objected when Nina decided to approach Carly and discuss Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) visitation. Carly ranted about Nina playing the victim and didn’t think this was about doing what was best for Wiley at all.
After Nina left in a huff, Maxie wasn’t far behind. Carly ranted about how much she hated Nina and knew she shouldn’t engage, but Sam defended her since Nina started it.
In Alexis’ office, Harmony informed her that she’d decided to help Nina if she could. Alexis didn’t think that was the right call, but she reassured Harmony when it came to her fears about tanking her relationship with Willow.
At the Metro Court, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) acknowledged that Michael’s assault situation could be used against him if Nina took them to court. However, Diane had a plan to dangle some big story in front of Smoltz (David Lautman) to get him to drop the whole thing.
Diane went to Alexis in hopes of figuring out the right bait, but Alexis wasn’t much help. In the end, Diane felt she would just have to figure out another tactic – and Alexis had total faith that she would.
Once Alexis was alone, she was shocked when Neil’s brother entered her office. Brendan told Alexis that it’d been a long time as she recognized him.
Back with Michael, he flirted with Willow and could tell she was tired. Willow assured Michael that she learned her lesson and was taking care of herself. Michael thought that was good and suggested he didn’t know what he’d do if anything happened to her.
Harmony interrupted the lovey-dovey moment and eventually suggested maybe it’d be best for Nina to spend time with Wiley. She acted like it’d be best for it to happen on Michael and Willow’s terms, but they quickly figured out that Nina put Harmony up to this.
Willow felt Harmony was trying to make up for the time they lost in their own relationship as mother and daughter. She didn’t blame Harmony for trying to see Nina’s perspective since she once tried, too.
That said, Michael and Willow felt it was in Wiley’s best interest to keep Nina away. Harmony understood and made it clear that she wouldn’t mention the idea again. Michael felt like Harmony was trying to have compassion like Willow and guessed it must be genetic.
