General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 22, reveals that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) essentially kidnapped Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) on The Haunted Star while a reptile venom discovery was made.
At Charlie’s Pub, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) expressed his condolences to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and admitted he hadn’t spoken to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in a couple of days.
Sonny got in touch with Mia Lombardi (Vanessa Mathison) since she was the leader of the program in Aruba, but Vanessa insisted Carly never made it to the conference and landed in Jacksonville instead.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) hinted to Sonny about Drew being more invested in Carly’s well-being than he was letting on, but Sonny acted like it was none of his business.
In Jacksonville, Carly finished the download on her new phone and left Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) a voicemail before having another run-in with Peyton Honeycutt (Linda Purl), who acted like nothing could be done to stop the parkway.
Carly offered to buy Peyton a drink and search for common ground, but Peyton asked if Carly could afford it since she’d heard about her losing the hotel.
After Peyton gloated, she urged Carly to put a drink on her tab and sauntered out.
At Charlie’s Pub again, Sonny pushed a reluctant Nina to accept a security guard and answered Carly’s phone call.
Carly got updates on Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) death and was alarmed over a homicidal maniac potentially targeting people close to Sonny.
Carly wanted to come home, but Sonny insisted he was protecting the kids and acted like it’d be safer for Carly to stay put.
When Carly hung up, Peyton walked back over and once again pushed her to leave.
Carly made it clear that she would stick around and make sure Virginia Benson (Lois Nettleton) remained in her final resting place. If Peyton regretted knowing Carly in the past, Carly told her to just wait!
On The Haunted Star, Lucy was surprised by the location and fanciness of this business lunch with Victor. Lucy joked about Victor kidnapping her and seemed on edge, especially after she realized the ship was unmooring.
However, Lucy played along with Victor’s flirtations and ultimately accepted a bracelet from him. Victor hinted about something earth-shattering in the works and suggested Lucy should be his first mate while he steered the ship.
Lucy tried to fish for more details, but Victor didn’t know who he could trust – though he seemed pleased to finally have alone time with Lucy.
At Deception, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) grew concerned over Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) questions about Lucy and Victor.
Valentin and Anna tried to downplay everything, but Anna was privately concerned about the danger she had put Lucy in.
If Victor realized Lucy was deceiving him, Anna and Valentin knew there would be trouble.
Maxie checked and found that Lucy’s schedule was clear for the rest of the day, but she mentioned a weird social media post about following your stars.
It also had a Jack o’ lantern, so that helped Valentin and Anna connect the dots.
Anna and Valentin made their way to The Haunted Star by boat before getting on board.
Unfortunately, they quickly ran into a snag since Victor’s henchman, Johann (Max Decker), took a break on the deck.
Valentin nearly sneezed before Anna covered his mouth, but there was enough of a noise for Johann to sense a problem and draw his weapon.
That left Anna and Valentin looking nervous around the corner.
After Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) convinced Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) to put her back under hypnosis, she struggled to remember the man at the top of the stairs and the woman at the bottom.
Once Liz came out of her trance, she knew what she had to do.
Elizabeth headed to a private area, pulled out her sketchbook and began sketching the woman’s face from her memories.
Over with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), she pushed Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to keep the new details about the poisoned hook under wraps.
Finn realized that whoever went after Brando had a real imagination for murder.
The poison seemed to be venom from a reptile – like in the old days when venom was used to poison spears for ancient warfare.
Jordan believed this was the work of a serial killer and felt that the person upped the ante since Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) didn’t survive.
This was the attacker’s way of making sure the next victim perished.
While Portia called Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) to check on her, Jordan reiterated that she needed to keep this venom info away from the public.
Finn understood and commented on the venom element making it kind of personal for him.
After Finn reflected on working with Doctors Without Borders, he talked about his late wife, Reiko Finn, and how they met another doctor who died a very painful death from a snakebite.
Once Jordan reconvened with Portia, she thanked her for requesting the tox screen.
Portia was glad that she followed her instincts and just wanted to get to the truth, so Jordan was glad to be on the same page.
After Finn made it back to his office, he looked through old pictures on his phone – including one that was presumably of Reiko.
Meanwhile, GH fans saw Liz sketch an almost identical face, so Reiko seemed to be the woman from the bottom of the staircase.
Back with Nina, she stopped by to see Maxie as they worried about Sasha.
Maxie acknowledged that she was planning a reception party and would now have to use that list for Brando’s funeral.
General Hospital spoilers say Brando will indeed get a final farewell soon, so stay tuned.
