General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 16, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will grill Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) about secrets while Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) faces a crisis. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) fate will also be revealed, so let’s discuss what’s ahead in Port Charles.
At Wyndemere, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will give Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) an ultimatum.
If Nikolas refuses to reveal the truth behind Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) death, Victor will vow to call the cops and turn him in.
Nikolas will have to appease Victor, so he’ll offer up a fake version of events.
That means Nikolas will leave Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) guilt out of this and claim he’s the one who killed Esme instead.
However, Victor may figure out Nikolas is covering for Ava as time goes on. Nikolas might think he’s handled Victor, but that probably won’t be the case for long.
At the Metro Court pool, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will fill Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) in on his plan to make Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) surrender ELQ.
Since Valentin wants Victor off his back, Drew has offered to take care of him in exchange for company control.
Michael may be skeptical about Drew’s scheme actually working, but it’s worth a shot at this point.
In the meantime, Drew and Carly will likely share a close moment – one that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) takes notice of!
Olivia will wind up quizzing Carly about her bond with Drew, but Carly may admit they’re floating somewhere between friendship and more.
Sonny will also treat Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to a romantic date at the Metro Court, so that may set the stage for Carly’s looming crisis.
Olivia will hint at a situation before Carly ends up facing off with Nina in the restaurant.
At GH, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will hope Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was able to convince Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) to expose Esme.
Jordan will hint about offering Oz a deal, so Portia will seek confirmation that it was a good one.
Although Jordan will still seem uneasy about things working out, there’ll be a courtroom shocker soon after.
DA Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) will rush in and order the judge to shut down the proceedings, so Trina may be spared from prison at the last minute.
Back with Sonny, he’ll summon Dex so they can discuss some red flags in his history.
Michael tried to clean up Dex’s background check, but Brick (Stephen A. Smith) apparently found some troubling things anyway.
Sonny will address some of the secrets Dex has been keeping about his past. It could lead Sonny to wonder what else Dex is hiding, but Dex will lie about his loyalty.
At GH again, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will get some difficult updates from Terry Randolph (Cassandra James).
Terry will reveal the results of Willow’s biopsy, so that should bring the news that Willow indeed has leukemia.
Despite this crushing blow, General Hospital spoilers say Willow will try to stay strong for her baby and nail down the next steps.
