General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, August 23, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will make a fierce threat while Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) delivers a marriage proposal. Some Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) sparks will fly as well, so let’s talk about what’s ahead in Port Charles.
For starters, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will insist he could really use Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) help.
However, it turns out Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) will provide the most help to Chase – and he’ll do it through that special Sicilian thunderbolt drink.
Although Leo intends to push Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) together, Chase will end up with a love potion glass, too.
It won’t be long until Chase downs it and decides he’s ready to pour his heart out to Brook Lynn.
Meanwhile, Curtis will ask Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to marry him now that he’s fished the ring out of the pool for his big surprise.
Portia will move past her shock and decide to seal her future with Curtis, so she’ll agree to become his bride.
At some point, Portia will also get a call about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), but that’ll hopefully involve good news.
Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) will end up taking Trina to the picnic, so things should keep going her way.
At GH, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will continue their deep discussion about Tommy Ashford’s death.
Jordan and Marshall are both trying to blame themselves, but the important thing now is moving forward peacefully for TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) sake.
Over with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), they’ll fail miserably at keeping up the happy couple ruse.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will tell a couple of picnic-goers to take their fighting somewhere else, so it seems Nikolas and Ava will get caught bickering.
Ava will eventually call Nikolas “darling” and tell him it’s never too late, but her tone will be dripping with disdain.
Although Nikolas and Ava will remain at odds for now, some danger could perhaps bring a thaw later this week.
In the meantime, Drew will tell Carly to be amazed as he mans the grill. There’ll be plenty of smiles and flirty comments as Carly strengthens her connection to Drew.
Next, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) may assure Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) that whatever she’s facing, they can tackle it together.
“I don’t know if we can this time,” Willow tells Michael in Tuesday’s preview video.
Although Michael can fight right by Willow’s side, this is ultimately her battle – and her choice when it comes to whether to delay treatment.
Regardless, Willow doesn’t have to be scared alone. It’s time to tell the truth, so Willow will be ready to open up about her leukemia diagnosis and the baby dilemma she’s facing.
Unfortunately, it looks like Olivia may interrupt with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and force Willow to delay some of this conversation.
Olivia will also find an opportunity to rant about Sonny and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) relationship – perhaps even straight to Sonny’s face.
Tuesday’s preview video also shows Sonny yelling at someone to take his best shot and see what happens.
That could be directed at Michael after Willow takes Wiley elsewhere for picnic fun, though Drew might also be an option.
Either way, Sonny will be all riled up in menacing mode!
