General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, August 30, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will face off while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) gets horrifying news. Victor Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will also have a new Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) theory, so let’s discuss what’s in store.
For starters, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will get a warning after Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) gets grilled by the police.
Brook Lynn will worry about Drew and the potential for the cops to think he has something to hide.
Of course, Drew will reassure Brook Lynn before talk turns to his feelings for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Brook Lynn will continue to root for Carly and Drew to become a couple, but he’ll admit that things are still pretty complicated at the moment.
After Carly consoles Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) following her Ava ordeal, she’ll meet back up with Drew.
That’ll bring Drew’s admission that he’s been thinking a lot about Carly and what happened between them, so Carly will admit she’s been thinking a lot about that, too.
Carly will still have a rather dreamy look in her eyes, so she’s definitely falling hard.
It’s just a matter of whether Carly can get past all her fears of taking the next step toward a real romance.
Over with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), he’ll wonder how he can make things right in his relationship with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
Liz has been upset about Finn going behind her back repeatedly, so they’ll try to figure out if they can resolve their trust issues.
At GH, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will grow suspicious of Nikolas when he’s resistant to providing answers.
The secrecy will leave Jordan with even more questions – and Sonny will have some of those as well.
A showdown is coming up between Nikolas and Sonny, who’ll snap about neither of them getting what they want.
It looks like Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will try to play peacemaker and comfort Sonny since he’ll be worried about Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
Sonny may not always get along with Ava, but he cares about her as the mother of his child – especially since Avery will be devastated if Ava doesn’t pull through.
Nina will do her best to be there for Sonny, but she’ll certainly fret over Ava’s critical condition as well.
As for Victor, he’ll confront hungover Spencer in private about Ava’s attack.
Victor will think Spencer might be to blame, but Spencer will suggest he could say the same about Victor.
Although Spencer won’t be able to remember enough to fully rule himself out as a suspect, he won’t want to believe he’s capable of Ava’s attempted murder.
It seems Victor will eventually question if Nikolas is the one who needs protecting.
Victor’s new theory may be that Nik targeted Ava since he felt betrayed when she blabbed to Spencer.
However, Victor is a tricky character who often knows more than he’s letting on, so he could be putting on an act for Spencer’s sake!
This is shaping up to be an intriguing mystery that’ll slowly unravel over time.
Meanwhile, Trina will be horrified when she gets updates on Ava’s stabbing. Josslyn will fill in Trina, who’ll no doubt want to seek info at GH right away.
