General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 25, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) trashed Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) as a knockoff Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), which led to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) spotting Sonny’s manic episode.
At Charlie’s Pub, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) wondered if Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) might be pregnant again based on the sonogram that fell out of her spilled purse.
Maxie insisted that was all she had left of Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt).
Maxie added that if Victor wanted to prove he wasn’t a friend to Peter August (Wes Ramsey), he should kill him!
Victor offered his resources to find Louise instead, but Maxie said she’d rather wear socks with sandals. She wasn’t interested in Victor’s help, which came at a price.
After Maxie scooped up her purse contents, she joined Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) at a nearby table.
Maxie was glad to hear Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) was still dead and had only returned to Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) memorial in the form of a video message.
Maxie wished Victor was still dead too before talk turned to the Pautauk trip. Felicia agreed to lay off quizzing Maxie and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) about their soft spot for each other.
Felicia also mentioned that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) had a feeling this trip would be pivotal – and that she thought one way or another, this would be the start of Louise’s journey back to Port Charles.
At the Metro Court, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) ultimately shut down Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) Sonny discussion.
Carly wanted to make sure Joss was all set for her trip – including protection for the bedroom.
At Kelly’s, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) assured Cameron Webber (William Lipton) that she knew Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) was merely Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) friend.
Trina acted like Cameron was still the one Trina wanted, but he downplayed any feelings that happened in high school.
Esme eventually peered in the window at Trina and Spencer. She looked rather jealous over the close moment happening between them.
Spencer enjoyed being distracted by Trina briefly and admitted he was scared over prison, but she gave him a pep talk.
Back with Esme, she looked at the prescription meds she’d picked up along with a new smartphone. Esme hid her top-secret items before Trina appeared and asked if Esme needed anything from the drug store.
Trina was set to make a last-minute run before their cabin trip, but Esme smiled over having everything she needed.
At The Savoy, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) wasn’t available to talk business with Sonny, who wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Sonny wanted Curtis’ nightclub, which Curtis made clear wasn’t for sale.
Sonny then clarified that he wanted to rent the place out for the night to impress Carly, but Curtis wasn’t interested in making that deal either.
After Curtis pushed Sonny to leave, Sonny exploded and insisted nobody told him what to do.
However, Curtis kept his cool and suggested he indeed made the rules inside his club.
As Nina watched nearby, Drew joined Curtis in trying to settle Sonny down. He was sure they could find another club Carly would like.
Sonny went on a tirade about how Jason was his friend, not Drew.
Sonny argued that Drew was just a poor knockoff of his brother and added that Jason should’ve just let Drew “rot in hell.”
Sonny thought Drew was better when he thought he was Jason, but now he was nothing!
After Sonny warned Drew to get out of his face, he wanted to get back to his club rental mission.
Nina walked over and urged Sonny to come with her, but he balked until she pointed out the cops could come.
Once Nina got Sonny home, she refused to leave and called him out for not acting like himself.
Nina knew a manic episode when she saw one and thought this was just like the episode Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and Lenny Caulfield (Riz Hutton) told her about in Nixon Falls.
After Nina asked if Sonny was on his meds, he shouted about how he was trying to get back the life she stole from him.
Nina pointed out it wasn’t just Sonny’s life and drew his attention to the little girls he might scare with this behavior.
Sonny was offended over Nina suggesting his young daughters might be afraid of him.
Sonny wondered if Nina didn’t trust him, so Nina replied that she trusted Sonny with her life. It was the bipolar disorder that Nina didn’t trust.
Sonny said he had things under control and felt this was none of Nina’s business. Nina wanted to call Carly, but Sonny felt he’d caused his wife enough trouble.
Sonny also didn’t want Nina to call Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) or Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), so he agreed to let Nina stick around if she stayed out of his way.
While Sonny headed upstairs, Nina seemed uneasy as she sat down on the sofa.
Back at Charlie’s Pub, Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) didn’t want Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) steering Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) away from Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) on her behalf.
Kristina argued that if she had a problem with her mom’s friendship, she would deal with it.
Kristina also accused Sam of being messy and pointed out her sister was dating her brother.
Sam wondered if Kristina had a problem with her dating Dante, so Kristina admitted she didn’t.
However, Kristina thought that’d be something she needed to keep to herself if she did. For the record, Kristina suggested Sam and Dante made a cute couple.
At The Invader, Harmony dropped off a gift to congratulate Alexis on her fresh start.
Alexis admitted she didn’t think it was a good idea to be friends – and Harmony agreed since she didn’t want Kristina to have to swallow any negative feelings.
Even so, Harmony didn’t regret the time she’d spend getting to know Alexis, who felt the same way. After Harmony was gone, Alexis read the card Harmony wrote and looked at the plaque she gave her with a Gandhi quote.
At The Savoy again, Marshall Ashford (Donnell Turner) formally met Drew before turning his attention back to Curtis. He wasn’t happy to hear Curtis had previously considered going to Sonny for help with Marshall’s mob problem.
Marshall didn’t want Curtis to be beholden to Sonny because of him.
Back at the Metro Court, Austin talked about being a private person before finally opening up about his brother with autism.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) thought Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) could benefit from hearing about Austin’s personal experiences, even if he kept how he learned that info to himself.
Austin implied that Britt would want to keep a medical issue within her family private.
Britt’s reaction tipped Austin off to a secret, so he felt it was her turn to open up.
Victor interrupted with a sonogram question, so Britt took the opportunity to take off.
That left Victor to join Austin at his table, where he asked about the sonogram without identifying information.
Victor claimed to have found the sonogram and wanted to return it, so Austin pointed out the patient ID number on the back and thought it’d be more appropriate for him to handle this at GH.
Victor insisted on handling it himself and vowed to make things right for all parties involved.
General Hospital spoilers say Victor will stir up even more trouble, so stay tuned.
