General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, May 10 Recap – Carly Steals Nina’s Glass – Spencer Wants Esme Father Answers

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 10, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) stole Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) glass for a DNA test – and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) wanted Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) father answers.

After Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) comforted Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), he left her to speak with Alexis Davis (temporarily played by Stephanie Erb) at the Quartermaine gatehouse.

Willow chose to believe Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) friendship with Alexis was real at one point.

Once Willow found out Alexis knew she wasn’t Harmony’s biological daughter, she learned Harmony offered a story about a woman named Joan abandoning her baby on the commune.

Willow wondered how much of that was true and considered how much her adoptive father knew as well. Since it was the only way to heal, Willow decided she’d agree to the DNA test and seek the truth about her birth parents.

At the main house, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) wanted Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to call off the merger between ELQ and Aurora Media.

Michael joined Drew in explaining why that wasn’t the right decision, but they tried to reassure Ned there’d be a place for him if the merger panned out. Ned couldn’t help but feel like he was being put out to pasture instead.

At Charlie’s Pub, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) took off while Nina pushed Carly to have a civil conversation with her.

Carly felt that Nina always played the victim, but Nina argued that they both wanted peace.

Nina tried to make Carly see that Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) shouldn’t lose another grandmother.

Although Nina said she loved Wiley, Carly didn’t think that entitled Nina to be in his life.

After Nina stepped away, Carly checked on Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) under the guise of making sure she was OK following the robbery.

In reality, Carly wanted to fish for information about Nina’s birth.

Phyllis admitted that the baby was already born by the time she got to work – and she didn’t know who was there before her.

Back with Nina, she took another swig from her glass and put it down on the table before leaving.

Once Carly thought back to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) mentioning a DNA test, she secretly put that glass in her purse using a napkin.

Unfortunately, Drew appeared and looked like he’d just caught Carly red-handed.

At Kelly’s, Esme clashed with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) before taking off.

Josslyn ripped into Cameron Webber (William Lipton) for acting supportive of Esme, but Trina felt that they should stop fighting since that’s what Esme wanted.

After Trina left, Cameron did his best to smooth things over with Josslyn. Although Joss calmed down and acted like they were cool, she looked uneasy as she hugged Cameron.

At the gallery, Trina wanted some scheming tips from Ava, who thought she should flirt with Spencer and goad jealous Esme into making a mistake.

Once Trina nixed that plan, she admitted she was withholding info that could hurt someone else, but it might be her best shot beating the charges.

Trina would only use that info as a last resort, so Ava praised her for being a good person.

That said, Ava wanted Trina to come to her for help bringing down Esme if she felt trapped.

In Esme’s closet, Spencer found an unlabeled pill bottle and pocketed one of the pills inside.

After Spencer got a text from Cam about Esme being on his way, he decided he couldn’t stop now.

Spencer took the box out of the closet and back into Esme’s room. While Spencer was reading a letter from Maggie Fitzgerald, Esme showed up and flipped out over the invasion of privacy.

Spencer demanded answers since Esme previously claimed she wasn’t in touch with Maggie, but he had proof that wasn’t true.

Esme argued with Spencer about trust and felt like he could’ve just asked her what he wanted to know.

Spencer ended up calling Esme’s attention to a specific line in Maggie’s letter – one about how no good could come from contact with Esme’s father.

General Hospital spoilers say Esme and Spencer will continue to play dangerous games with each other, so stick with the ABC soap.
