General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, October 18 Recap – Esme Reveals Dangerous Bio Dad to Nik – Mystery Shooter Goes After Lucy

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 18, reveals that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) revealed a dangerous bio dad to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) while a mystery shooter went after Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) on the pier.

Outside Kelly’s, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) invited Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to unburden herself with whatever secret she was carrying, but she was hesitant to take that risk again since the benefit was short-lived with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Britt struggled to understand why Cody was so intrigued by her family relations, but he insisted he truly wanted to help.

Soon after, Britt took Cody back to her hotel suite so they could sort through Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) personal effects box.

Although Britt briefly considered just dumping the box without looking, Cody convinced her that she’d never be able to move past Peter that way.

Most of what Britt found inside seemed random and confusing, but there was a safe deposit box key that caught her interest.

It left Britt eager to find out the contents.

At the Metro Court, Lucy continued flirting with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), who vowed to tell her about his business if she met him on Pier 55 for a sunset cruise.

Afterward, Lucy got all dressed up ahead of her night with Victor and ignored a voicemail from a concerned Anna.

Meanwhile, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) found Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) at the Metro Court bar and pushed her to file for divorce first.

Since Ava told Scott that Nikolas was running around on her, he wanted to help her get a big settlement.

Ava warned that she’d have Scott disbarred if he broke her confidence regarding Nik’s cheating.

Furthermore, Ava didn’t want Scott or anyone else deciding anything about her marriage.

However, Victor ultimately came over and spilled the beans about Nikolas changing his mind regarding the divorce.

That left Ava fuming and sent her over to Wyndemere on a mission for answers.

Next on Tuesday’s GH episode, Nik warned a repairman that the north tower repairs would have to wait until springtime.

Until Nikolas said otherwise, the north tower was off-limits.

In the storage wing, Esme told her unborn baby that they were in this together.

Nikolas eventually came with a tray of food and admitted he didn’t care whether Esme lived or died.

That said, Nikolas did care about the child Esme was carrying, so he warned her to drink her milk and clean her plate.

Esme tried to attack Nikolas with a candlestick as he was leaving, but he got the upper hand on her.

Nikolas made it clear that once the baby was born, Esme would be expendable.

Although Nikolas didn’t think anyone would miss Esme, she piped up about how her biological father knew she was alive.

Nikolas was skeptical since this was the first he’d heard about Esme’s bio dad, but she insisted her father adored her and was a very powerful man.

Esme added that Nikolas wouldn’t like how this story ended and hinted that Nik’s fate wouldn’t be pretty.

Nikolas still doubted Esme’s claims and pushed her to just do what was best for the baby.

Once the child was born, Nikolas suggested they’d see if this imaginary father came to Esme’s rescue.

After Nikolas left, Esme grumbled about being surrounded by Ava’s tacky taste in art.

That gave Esme an idea, so she managed to pull some wire off a canvas and tried picking the lock with it.

Downstairs, Nikolas was stunned to see Ava at the door and wondered about the reason for her visit.

Ava said she thought Nikolas was done keeping secrets from her.

Back at the Metro Court, Victor spoke to someone over the phone about Lucy saying yes as he knew she would.

Victor added that it was his associate’s turn and said this person knew what to do.

At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place, she worried once Valentin offered updates on the offer to see Charlotte Cassadine (Amelia McClain).

Although Valentin knew the odds were good that it was a trap, he missed his daughter and decided to take the flight anyway.

After giving Anna a kiss, Valentin assured her of his love.

Anna warned that she’d never forgive Valentin if he didn’t come back, so he said he’d never forgive himself either.

Once she was alone, Anna called someone to reveal that Valentin was in trouble and needed help.

Soon after, Anna spoke with someone else about Lucy’s calendar and learned she had a sunset cruise with Victor on Pier 47 – which wasn’t the right one since Victor mentioned Pier 55 earlier.

While Anna was out of the house, Johann (Max Decker) searched for something and eventually decided it must be upstairs.

Once Johann found Victor later, he assured his boss that everything was taken care of.

Victor was glad to know Anna wouldn’t be anywhere near Lucy and wouldn’t interfere with his plans.

On Victor’s jet, Valentin picked up a glass of Champagne and then decided he’d better not drink it.

After Valentin called Anna, he left her one last voicemail before takeoff.

Back with Lucy, she spoke with her office and feared there’d been some pier confusion.

Before Lucy could leave Pier 55, someone appeared and pointed a gun at her.

Lucy recognized this person enough to wonder what he or she was doing there.

After Lucy raised her hands in surrender, the mystery shooter fired a shot at her abdomen.
