General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) may frame Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier) for Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) murder. Will Victor set up Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) old enemy as a scapegoat?
GH fans will recall how Jennifer Smith blew back into Port Charles out of the blue – just in time for Luke’s memorial service.
Jennifer showed up uninvited after Luke’s death and caught Laura off guard.
That brought Jennifer’s confession about her quest for closure. Jennifer was curious how Laura was able to find the catharsis she needed to reclaim her life after Luke.
Considering Jennifer’s obsession with Luke and her dangerous behavior in the past, it’d be easy for Victor to pin this on her.
After all, Jennifer showed up out of nowhere right after Luke died and was acting like she wanted to put him in the rearview mirror.
You could argue that Jennifer seemed like a woman who just murdered the man she was previously fixated on.
Victor was actually to blame for Luke’s cable car crash, but he knows that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and her posse are getting too close to the truth.
Since Victor doesn’t want Anna or anyone else proving he’s guilty, he’s decided he needs a fall guy – or perhaps a fall gal if he ultimately chooses Jennifer Smith.
It was weird for Jennifer to show up for a few scenes and bolt immediately.
Perhaps GH writers left a loose end to tie up – knowing they would come back to it once Victor framed Jennifer for orchestrating Luke’s murder.
We should also mention Jennifer’s mysterious phone call after her conversation with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Jennifer called someone to insist that Sonny had no plans to expand on the West Coast, which gave her mystery boss plenty of time to get stronger and make a move.
Now that Sonny’s potentially gearing up for more mob drama, it could be the right time to bring Jennifer and her mysterious boss back into the story.
That’s particularly true if Jennifer’s boss is partnering up with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) for a major war with Sonny.
Jennifer Smith’s storyline felt unfinished when she vanished just as quickly as she came.
Since we know Victor wants to pin Luke’s murder on someone, will he frame Jennifer and kick off another dangerous chapter?
