General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) may be holding Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) captive, so Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) may be in a situation where she has to play dirty or risk her son’s death.
It’s a familiar scenario when it comes to Victor and the people he forces to do his bidding. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is Victor’s own son, but blood ties didn’t stop Victor from finding precious leverage.
Victor was willing to essentially kidnap and hold his granddaughter hostage at boarding school – though he at least made things pleasant enough for Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain), who never suspected the danger.
Charlotte has some level of protection since she’s a young girl and a Cassadine. Ethan, on the other hand, is a grown man who could be locked up and tortured. Victor would show no mercy if he ordered Ethan’s snatching and didn’t get what he wanted in return.
That brings us to Holly’s suspicious behavior. Holly made sure Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) phone was on “do not disturb,” which allowed Victor’s setup plan for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to go off without a hitch.
On the November 1 episode, Holly also reported over the phone with updates on Robert’s activities. It was easy to see Holly was torn about staying close to Robert and blabbing what she’d learned.
Victor already hinted that he was connected to Holly’s sudden appearance. When Victor was chatting with his attorney at the PCPD, he assured her there was no need to fret.
Victor acted like Anna and Robert would be far too busy to worry about him – meaning he had a hand in both distractions: Anna’s frame job and Robert’s discovery of an alive Holly.
Now Victor has the perfect spy since Robert doesn’t suspect a thing, and Holly clearly has to do whatever Victor says.
If Holly dares to cross Victor, there’s a good chance poor Ethan could end up dead! Holly can’t take chances when it comes to her son, so she’ll presumably have to keep doing Victor’s dirty work until she finds another solution.
Of course, Holly might have better luck if she came clean to Robert and teamed up with him instead, so maybe that’s what she’ll do down the road. As other GH news pops up, we’ll keep you in the loop.
