General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, April 20 Update – Carly Strikes Out – Nina Sounds the Alarm – Esme & Nik’s Dangerous Game

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, April 20, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will strike out while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) sounds the alarm. Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will also play a dangerous game, so there’ll be some big stuff happening across Port Charles.

At the Metro Court, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will try to figure out what’s gotten into Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel).

Harmony is obviously drunk and is encouraging alcoholic Alexis to drink as well, so this will raise all kinds of red flags.

There’s a chance intoxicated Harmony will drop her bag and scramble to hide the file she stole from Brendon Byrne’s (Josh Coxx) room.

Regardless, Harmony will bicker with Alexis before Carly walks over and wonders what’s going on.

Carly is already becoming suspicious of Harmony, so this strange encounter isn’t going to help matters.

However, Alexis is Harmony’s biggest problem right now since she’ll force her friend to endure an interrogation at home.

Harmony will face questions about who’s got her so scared. She’ll be rattled enough to almost come clean about the deadly faceoff with Brendon and why it happened.

Harmony will come close to confessing, but she’ll ultimately clam up and realize this isn’t a good idea.

In the meantime, Nina will text Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and arrange a meeting about some major news.

That could involve Nina’s updates on the armed robbers and the fact that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may have been targeted.

Nina will offer a warning of some sort, so she may think Ava needs to keep her guard up for Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) sake.

Ava will also sit down with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), who’ll discuss some new suspicions regarding Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and his dangerous agenda.

Once Laura and Ava have this strategy session regarding Victor, they’ll also discuss Esme.

Ava would love for both Victor and Esme to be sent packing, but Laura may worry about Esme tightening her grip on the Cassadine men.

Of course, we know Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is playing Esme in hopes of taking her down.

Spencer just doesn’t want Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) or Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to know his true intentions right now.

GH spoilers say Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will put Spencer on the spot with an ultimatum.

Cameron will threaten to tell Trina and Josslyn the real story if Spencer doesn’t confess himself.

Spencer will hurl an insult at Josslyn instead and distract Cam from the big picture.

That insult should involve something cruel about the video, so Spencer might act like Joss likes the attention – even when this has been total agony for her.

Cameron will feel the need to defend Josslyn’s honor, so he’ll punch Spencer and escalate the fight.

Once Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) realizes a brawl is about to break out, he’ll make a double arrest and throw Cam as well as Spencer in jail.

Over with Esme, she’ll put on her usual act with Nikolas and hope it’s working like a charm.

When Nikolas says something that troubles Esme, she’ll question if he’s having doubts about her.

Esme feels like she’s been building trust with Nikolas and will want to make sure he’s on the same page.

Although Nikolas will assure Esme that he is, there may be another manipulation plot going on.

It would serve Esme right to have both Spencer and Nikolas working against her!

Trina needs all the help she can get – and that’s why Carly will wonder if Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) discovered anything that might point the finger away from her.

Sam got busted before she had a chance to really dig into the forensics report – and she certainly doesn’t want to rock the boat with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) again by digging into this any further.

Carly should understand that and once again take the blame for Dante unleashing his fury on Sam.

If Carly hadn’t planted the idea to swipe official police info, Sam might never have done it.

At the same time, Sam is a grown woman who’s capable of making her own decisions.

No one forced Sam to betray Dante, so she’ll no doubt own her mistakes and refuse to hold Carly responsible.

As for Carly and her desire to make Esme pay, it doesn’t look like she’ll get any closer to that goal.

Carly may have to take Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) advice and just let someone else deal with Esme’s downfall.

Next, Sonny may act like the case is closed when it comes to the robbery at Charlie’s Pub.

Sonny might pretend he’s letting it go, especially if Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) worries about Sonny retaliating.

Nevertheless, Sonny is indeed going to retaliate with a kidnapping plot. He might get some help identifying the masked men and who they work for.

Whatever the case, Sonny’s going to order a snatching and have the guy restrained in the back of a trunk.

We’ll see Sonny take great pleasure in inflicting pain and sparking some fear.

Sonny will use this bold move to reassert his authority over his territory.

Unfortunately, Sonny could create an even bigger mob mess if this move prompts even more retaliation.

In other words, Sonny could get stuck in a vicious mob cycle if he’s not careful!

General Hospital spoilers say some surprising new battles are brewing, so stay tuned.
