General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, August 10, tease that Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) secret will be revealed while Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) luck changes. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will also warn Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), so let’s discuss what’s in store.
For starters, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will corner Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and cut to the chase. Martin will be instructed to sit down so they can get to the main event, which will obviously involve figuring out what Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is hiding.
Anna will force Martin to help her with a plan to pry the truth out of Valentin. Although Martin will try to protest, Anna will come up with a clever strategy and make it so Martin really has no choice.
Meanwhile, Valentin will admit that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has piqued his curiosity. Drew wants to get a few things straight with Valentin and is prepared to play hardball, so Valentin will listen as he makes a new offer.
Over with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), he’ll meet with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and perhaps admit there’s trouble in paradise. Nikolas surely won’t go into the details, but he may trust Alexis enough to acknowledge that he’s facing problems in his marriage.
Alexis will warn Nikolas to watch his back, which is certainly a reasonable warning when you’re married to someone as formidable as Ava!
Then again, Alexis might warn Nikolas not to get too chummy with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) since she doesn’t trust him either.
Regardless, Victor and Nikolas will end up joining forces to help Spencer. That means Nikolas and Victor will take an idea to Alexis, so this could involve a sympathetic story to help Spencer in The Invader.
At the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will admit that Spencer’s situation may be improving. Whether that’s due to Cassadine help or some other positive twist of fate, Spencer will have some hope for minimizing his legal consequences.
Other GH spoilers say Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will meet with someone and talk about getting him ready. That could be Spencer if Sonny comes to his aid, but Sonny might also have some new orders for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to carry out.
Next, Nina will cross paths with Ava and realize she’s having a rough time. Ava won’t divulge too much about the issues she’s having with Nikolas, but Nina already knows there are indeed issues.
We may see Ava push to discuss Nina’s love life instead, so Nina can admit things have taken a turn in the right direction. Although Nina and Sonny are now on the right track, Ava will warn Nina not to congratulate herself too soon.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will always have a hold on Sonny, so Ava may urge Nina to remember that. Since Ava is still dealing with the sting of Nikolas’ betrayal, that’ll play a role in the advice she offers.
Meanwhile, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will try to uncover Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) true feelings. Cody claimed that Spinelli was crushing on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so Maxie will want to know if that’s really the case.
Spinelli will hint that some words are never meant to be spoken, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can keep this charade going. In reality, Spinelli has no interest in Britt – though he might be carrying a bit of a torch for Maxie!
By the Metro Court pool, General Hospital spoilers say Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will demand to know what the heck that punch was for. Cody just decked Scott and clearly feels it was a long time coming, so what’s his deal?
Scott was once romantically involved with Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans), who got dumped after her con was ex+posed. Based on Cody’s last name and hatred for Scott, maybe he’s related to deceased Katherine and blames him for her heartache.
