General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 10, teases that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will search for answers while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) tackles a risky mission. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will also force Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) into helping her, so here’s what GH fans can expect.
By the Metro Court pool, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will remain baffled by the punch Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) just threw.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was on the receiving end of it, so he’s certainly going to have questions as well.
Cody will have no regrets about decking Scott and will insist it was a long time coming.
There’s obviously some link between Cody and Scott’s history – even if Scott doesn’t realize what it is just yet.
We should point out that Scott was once romantically involved with a now deceased woman named Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans).
Cody’s last name seems like a big clue that he has ties to Katherine, so GH writers may use that as part of his backstory.
Scott dumped Katherine after her con was exposed, but Cody might spin things around on Scott and blame him for what happened.
Whatever the case, this will add yet another complication to Cody and Britt’s already messy romance.
Over with Maxie, she’ll corner Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) as she searches for answers.
Maxie will want the truth about what’s in Spinelli’s heart, so will he back up Cody’s lie about wanting Britt for himself?
Since Spinelli has been so protective of Maxie lately, it feels more like he’s longing for her instead.
Regardless, Spinelli will hint about things that shouldn’t be said aloud and leave Maxie looking sympathetic.
Meanwhile, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will amuse Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) with his tough guy act.
Valentin won’t be intimidated, but he’ll at least be intrigued as Drew presents a new proposal.
Now that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has essentially made things official with Sonny, she’ll be on cloud nine.
However, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) won’t think Nina should be so quick to celebrate her victory.
Ava may act like men are rotten scoundrels who’ll betray you at the first sign of trouble – leading Ava to wonder if they’re talking about Sonny or Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma)!
It’s clear that whatever guidance Ava offers will be driven by her own betrayal issues with Nikolas.
That said, Nina would be wise to keep her guard up.
Sonny will never fully be over Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), so she’s always going to pose a threat to his romance with Nina.
Next, Nikolas and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will push Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to provide some assistance.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) could use some help, so maybe Victor and Nikolas will want a story at The Invader with a compassionate angle.
Regardless, Alexis will warn Nikolas to watch his back.
If Alexis fears Nikolas is getting tangled in Victor’s twisted web, she might think that warrants some words of caution.
On the other hand, Alexis might realize Nikolas’ marriage seems to be sinking fast and assume he did something to destroy it.
Since Ava has a vengeful side, Alexis’ warning might be about Nikolas’ own wife.
At the police station, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will speak with Spencer and note that his situation might be changing for the better.
That could be due to Victor and Nikolas’ latest tactics or some other path out of this mess.
Sonny will give someone a pep talk on Wednesday’s episode and will want to get this person ready.
That could be Spencer if Sonny decides to help him out, but Sonny might also have a risky new mission to prepare Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) for.
While Sonny makes one of his usual gambles, Anna will order Martin to pitch in on a new plot.
Martin won’t be interested in tricking Valentin, but he should have no choice by the time Anna’s through with him.
Anna will play it smart and come up with an interesting way to secure Martin’s cooperation, so they’ll work together to uncover Valentin’s secrets.
