General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 21, teases that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will join a holiday gathering at Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, but he won’t do a very good job of getting in the Christmas spirit.
Spencer will try to pretend everything’s fine, but Alexis will insist he’s a terrible liar and push him to confide in her.
Once Spencer talks about his desire to break free from the Cassadine curse and his lineage of problematic people, he’ll get some guidance.
Alexis is someone who’s carved her own path away from the Cassadine clan and will think the key is for Spencer to figure things out for himself.
Spencer needs to find interests to be passionate about and learn who he is without his family influence.
Although Spencer will struggle to nail down a new sense of identity, he’ll put his faith in his love for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and will keep gravitating toward her.
Meanwhile, Trina will remain troubled over Rory Cabrera’s (Michael Blake Kruse) death and all the complicated emotions she’s dealing with.
Trina may try to push Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) away, but her BFF will think she needs comfort more than time and space right now.
After Josslyn consoles Trina and lends a sympathetic ear, Spencer will offer one as well.
Trina will eventually receive a visit from Spencer – and she’ll get a special Christmas get-together at home later to lift her spirits.
Over with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), she’ll be as joyful as ever and will be especially excited about one part of the holiday festivities.
Whether that involves a present or perhaps a trip to see Santa, Violet will have plenty to be excited about.
Other GH spoilers say Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will seemingly get some amazing news via phone call – and then Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will likely relay that same news to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) later.
There’s a good chance Chase is going to get reinstated at the PCPD after all thanks to Brook Lynn calling in a favor.
As for whether that’ll help Brook Lynn undo the damage she’s done to her relationship, she’ll certainly hope so.
However, Chase may have a problem with Brook Lynn going behind his back again, even if the outcome was positive this time.
Brook Lynn and Chase have some serious communication and trust issues that still need to be addressed.
Even so, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) may think Chase is being a little hard on Brook Lynn. Perhaps Gregory will urge Chase to see that everyone deserves a second chance.
As for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), he’ll be moved over the gift Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) passes down to him.
It’ll be a sentimental present that could perhaps stay in the family for generations to come.
Elsewhere, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will have a heart-to-heart about their relationship problems.
It felt like destiny when Austin popped up and helped Maxie give birth in the woods, but now they just don’t seem like a good match.
Between all the loved ones who object to Maxie’s romance and the latest algorithm results, Austin just won’t think they’re meant to stand the rest of time.
If Maxie agrees, that could mean a breakup and the end of the road for this couple.
At the Quartermaine mansion, GH spoilers say several family members will gather to open gifts, but there’ll be one for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) that he can’t unwrap.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will let Wiley in on a secret, so he’ll get updates on his baby sister following their gender reveal appointment.
Now that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is on the right track in the birth mom search, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will warn against making a major blunder.
Maybe Carly will argue that it’d be cruel to give Willow false hope – just in case Drew’s kidnapping hunch is the wrong one.
Of course, Carly knows for a fact that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is Willow’s biological mother, so she’ll keep digging her own grave with her continued deception.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will get Drew to focus on Christmas for a while and put the birth mom drama on hold, so there’ll be some joyful moments in the Quartermaine household.
