General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, December 7 Recap – Victor’s Secret Code – Anna’s Ireland Exposure – Drunk Cody Drama

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 7, reveals that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was after a secret code while Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) Ireland hideout faced exposure. Drunk Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) also caused drama, so here’s how all the action played out.

In Ireland, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) entered the house he’d been sent to in County Kerry and called out for Tiffany Hill (Shannon Wyatt). Anna snuck up behind Valentin and surprised him with a kiss.

Valentin let Anna know that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was alive and wanted to visit some of Victor’s old haunts to look for clues.

After Valentin said he was also going to clear Anna’s name and bring her home, Anna refused to let him work alone.

Instead, Anna wanted to team up with Valentin and suggested they should make a deal to help each other from now on.

In Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) office, he met with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).

Felicia admitted she told Valentin that Lucy was alive, so he was going to tell Anna and hopefully find Lucy.

That pleased Robert since it’d leave them free to go after Victor.

Felicia pulled out a jeweler’s loop so they could take a closer look at the necklace and possibly find diamond details that could help them narrow down Victor’s plan.

At Pentonville, Victor revealed that he called in some favors, so Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was going home today.

Victor noted that there’d be certain conditions, but he hoped this early release proved he had Spencer’s best interests at heart.

Spencer thanked Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) for looking out for him and left the visiting area, but Victor reminded Cyrus to stay away from Spencer. If Spencer laid eyes on Cyrus again, not even Cyrus’ guard could save him.

At the Port Charles Grill, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) found a drunk Cody, who announced that he was leaving town.

Cody slurred as he tried to explain how he lost both Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and the necklace, so there was nothing left for him there.

While Dante was getting coffee to help Cody sober up, Sam admitted she thought it was “hell of an idea” for Cody to leave Port Charles.

Cody and Sam bickered until Dante returned to the table. Sam got a phone call and stepped away, so that left Dante to quiz Cody.

After Cody suggested karma was to blame for his problems, he pointed out it’d be better for Dante if he took off.

Cody reminded Dante that they’d be in for a world of hurt if anyone found out what went down when they were younger.

Dante pointed out that it happened a long time ago, but Cody knew they’d both be in trouble if Sam unsealed those juvenile records.

After Dante sent Cody off in a rideshare, he urged Sam to not to make things harder for Cody by poking around his past.

At GH, Britt made a phone call about renting out The Haunted Star for her big bash on New Year’s Eve.

After Britt insisted money was no object, she somberly said they’d party like there was no tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Jeff Webber (William Moses) pushed Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to hear him out since he was leaving in the morning and just wanted a few minutes of her time.

Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) let them use her office, so Jeff told Liz about visiting Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and facing some things he wasn’t proud of.

Now Jeff understood that sending Liz out of the picture was just another form of running away. Since Jeff knew it was wrong, he said he was sorry.

Liz admitted she’d waited a lifetime to hear Jeff say that, but nothing he said or did could ease her pain.

Jeff was willing to take on his share of the burden now, but it was too late according to Elizabeth.

Even so, Jeff hoped that Liz could find it in her heart to forgive him at some point – and he hoped it wouldn’t be another 25 years before he saw her.

Back with Britt, she invited Terry to her birthday party and reflected on how they came to be a good team.

Terry mentioned something about them sticking it out for the long haul, so Britt had to cover up her sadness.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) tried to get rid of Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), who insisted on coming inside and discussing Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).

Finn wondered if Esme might be hiding on Spoon Island, but Nikolas said he’d know if she was in the house.

After Finn suggested Esme might be hiding outside somewhere, Nikolas once again shut down the idea and acted like Finn was just trying to play the hero with Liz.

When Finn threatened to have the cops search the grounds, Nikolas stopped him from leaving and said he’d talk to the staff.

While Nikolas was out of the room, Finn noticed the prenatal vitamin bottle sitting nearby.

Soon after, Nikolas returned to assure Finn that no one knew anything about Esme’s whereabouts, but he claimed to have guards posted at all the entry points.

Although Nikolas claimed to have Liz’s best interests at heart, Finn remained skeptical.

Once Finn was gone, Nikolas realized he’d left the prenatal vitamin bottle out and seemed worried that could be a problem.

When Victor brought Spencer home following his early prison release, Spencer admitted he had to be under supervision for the remainder of his sentence.

One wrong move and Spencer would go back to prison.

Victor had a cheerful attitude as he suggested it would be nice being together under the same roof for the holidays.

Back at the hospital, Finn had a silent run-in with Jeff before joining Liz in her office.

Liz accepted Finn’s comforting hug as she held a prenatal vitamin bottle in her hand.

In Robert’s office again, Felicia noticed a series of numbers were inscribed on the jewels, but it wasn’t a serial number since it wasn’t listed in the diamond registry.

Laura wondered if it might be a code as Robert worried it could be something a lot more dangerous.

After Felicia left, she got updates from an officer about Agent Whitten (Mike Peebler) having a lead on Anna’s whereabouts.

Felicia called Valentin with a warning, so he feared he’d put Anna in danger by tracking her down.

Valentin and Anna tried to leave the hideout in a hurry, but they opened the door to find someone surprising that they recognized.

Meanwhile, Laura and Robert considered the possibility that Victor was after a message inside the diamonds rather than the diamonds themselves.

If there was a code in one of the diamonds, Robert suggested they could crack it and figure out what Victor was really up to.

Laura agreed it’d put them one step closer to stopping Victor before his plan unfolded.

Back with Britt, she hinted that Terry would’ve made a great chief of staff on her own if she’d been allowed to fly solo.

Terry wondered if Britt was quitting on her, so Britt said nothing lasts forever.

General Hospital spoilers say Britt will keep marching toward her inevitable departure, so stay tuned.
