General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, February 23, teases that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will race to the site of the Peter August (Wes Ramsey) chaos while Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) places blame. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will also grill Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so let’s talk about what GH fans can expect.
In Switzerland, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may see Peter start to stir.
Peter doesn’t look dead yet despite that terrible fall, so Maxie really needs to get her hands on the gun that fell beside him.
A struggle could ensue and perhaps lead to the gun going off into Peter’s chest inadvertently.
Then again, maybe someone like Anna or Drew will pump a bullet into Peter from nearby.
It all depends on whether they can get a clear shot without putting Maxie in danger.
Regardless, Peter is indeed headed for the deadly exit door, so that’s sure to bring some social media parties!
Back in Port Charles, Austin will have plenty of questions for Britt and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Austin will be dying to find out if Maxie is OK and will think the most important thing is bringing her home safe and sound.
Alas, Obrecht and Britt probably won’t have any more information that Austin does. Even Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) will have less info than he would like!
Robert will mull over this scary situation with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and hope some new reports come in soon.
Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will definitely be invested in this case, especially since it concerns Louise August’s (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) mother.
It looks like Brook Lynn will blast Austin and assume he’s made another mistake, but it’ll probably just be the stress getting to her.
Fortunately, everyone should settle down once they receive word that Maxie has been found and Peter has been killed.
Felicia, Anna, Drew and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will also survive this trip to Switzerland, so that’s certainly good news.
In the meantime, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will worry about pushing Sasha Gilmore (Helena Mattsson) too hard.
Although Brando had a nice chat with Sasha recently, he’ll be wary of hovering too much and may want to give her space.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will feel like that’s the worst possible thing Brando could do – though Sonny’s own situation will clearly be influencing his advice.
Even so, Sonny may manage to point Brando in the right direction.
Lucy will also catch Nina right as she’s about to reach out to Sonny.
It looks like Nina will spot Sonny looking glum at Charlie’s Pub, but Lucy will pull her aside to talk about Sasha and how they should handle a work issue.
Lucy may worry that Sasha’s going to burn out if she keeps overworking herself.
Perhaps Nina and Sasha can come up with a way to talk Sasha into taking a little breather.
Sasha will indeed spend more time with Brando in the near future, so that’ll bring some steamy steps forward in their romance.
Back with Sonny, he’ll get drunk to cope with his divorce from Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Once Nina wraps up her business with Lucy, we’ll see if she approaches Sonny to see how he’s doing.
Sonny obviously won’t be doing well at all, but he’ll just have to hand in there and accept the situation for now.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will have to figure out a new path forward, so stay tuned!
