General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, March 2, teases that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will fear Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is in danger while Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is banned from work. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will also reunite now that she’s back in town, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) crosses paths with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), she’ll find out he’s just returned from a trip.
Portia may be a little out of the loop on the Switzerland mission since she’ll apparently ask if Drew was away for personal reasons or on business.
After Drew admits the trip was about taking down Peter August (Wes Ramsey), Portia will certainly be relieved that Drew made it back alive and well.
Portia may also get updates on Drew’s proposition for Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), which Marshall decided to turn down.
Portia may suggest that’s too bad and wonder what the problem was.
Although Marshall claimed the job would take him away from his music, the real issue was the background check the job required.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) knows that thanks to Drew’s call afterward, but he’ll pretend he’s in the dark when he meets with Marshall.
Of course, Marshall will want to stop all the games and cut to the chase.
Marshall will insist he’s aware of Curtis’ role in making that job offer happen.
Marshall may grill Curtis about his true motives and suspect all that background check talk involved digging into his past.
Marshall felt confident enough that his history was behind him when he first approached Curtis, but he also knows there’s always going to be some form of a threat.
Since Marshall clearly doesn’t want Curtis investigating, he may warn that stirring up the past could reignite danger and make it unsafe to have a relationship.
If Curtis can’t leave this alone, Marshall may not be sure they can connect.
There’ll be concerns about Liz’s safety on Wednesday’s episode, too.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will fill Sam in on the stalker situation and leave her with plenty of worries.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) agreed to stay at Liz’s place for a while, but there’ll be some tension when he acts like one of her boys might be caught up in all this.
Although Finn will deny that he’s making accusations, the real problem will be Liz and her reluctance to believe any of her sons could be responsible.
However, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) pointed out that they weren’t little kids anymore.
The show’s been bringing up Jake Webber’s (Hudson Webber) resentment of Liz’s new relationship and highlighting the fact that he’s an angsty teenager now.
There’s the potential for Jake to have had a hand in the tormenting, especially if he’s been working with Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang).
Whatever the case, Jake will finally make it home and get grilled about all the creepy Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) reminders.
Liz will want Jake to be honest about his feelings and about whether he played a role in all the “haunting” mayhem.
At GH, Austin will be grateful over Maxie’s return and will be glad to see Bailey Louise Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) back with her true mother.
After Austin apologizes for blabbing to Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), he’ll hope Maxie can forgive him and let him have a place in her life.
Maxie may end up apologizing as well since she overreacted during a time of great stress.
Perhaps Maxie will agree to start fresh as friends with Austin and go from there.
Austin and Maxie could inch toward romantic territory eventually, but rebuilding their connection is the most important thing right now.
Over with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll hint that the investigation isn’t over just yet.
Anna will presumably be talking about the Peter case, but let’s hope it’s just a matter of nailing down some final details and ending that nightmare forever!
In Mac’s hospital room, he’ll bicker with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) about going back to the PCPD.
Mac will think he has to resume his role as Port Charles’ acting police commissioner, but Felicia will insist he’ll have to answer to her first!
Felicia won’t want Mac rejoining the force until he’s truly recovered enough for the job.
Mac may argue that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is counting on him while she finishes her own recovery out of town.
Even so, Felicia and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will make it clear that Mac’s PCPD comeback isn’t happening – not when he needs more rest.
As luck would have it, Jordan is on the verge of returning healthy and ready to resume her duties.
It looks like Jordan will show up before the week winds down, March 4, so we’ll keep you posted as other GH news comes in.
