General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, March 9, tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) will pledge her loyalty to Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) while Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) get lost in Niagara Falls. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will also deliver an urgent warning, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
In the car on the way to the quickie wedding chapel, Brando will admit he’s lost.
That could leave Brando wondering if they should turn around and go back or even just try to make their way back to Port Charles.
Sasha will question if Brando’s changed his mind about marrying her and may think he’s just making excuses.
However, Brando will no doubt assure Sasha that he’d love nothing more than to marry her.
Brando wants to grant Sasha’s request now that he’s heard her reasons, so this will lead to Brando and Sasha improvising in some way.
Even if Sasha and Brando don’t land at the chapel they intended to elope at, there’s surely another one close by.
While Brando and Sasha try to roll with a change of plans, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will get worried about what they’re up to.
“You don’t think that’s what they’re doing?” Gladys asks in Wednesday’s GH preview video.
It’s possible Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will bring up the idea of Brando and Sasha’s potential elopement.
As Sasha pointed out, a lot of people get married in Niagara Falls.
That could lead to Gladys getting miffed over the idea of missing the ceremony, but Lucy will ask when Gladys became “Team Sasha.”
Gladys may admit she saw a different side of Sasha due to the baby ordeal and now believes in Brando’s future with her.
Over with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), they’ll talk to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about a problem with the plan.
The goal was to slip a tarot card into Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) personal effects and lead Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) to it after it was sent to Maxie.
It’s too late to carry out that plan since Peter’s belongings have already been delivered – and not to Maxie! Peter had them sent to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) instead, so there’s the potential for trouble here.
Of course, Maxie may not even want Britt to open the package.
Maxie will shout at Britt not to do something, so she may worry Peter’s set one last trap of his own and urge Britt to get rid of it.
At the Metro Court, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will taunt Victor a bit.
Drew will suggest that Victor’s timing couldn’t be better and will focus on the next phase of the plot.
Drew ultimately wants to pretend the wrong tarot card has activated him so that he can figure out Victor’s agenda.
It’s easy to see how this scheme might go awry if the tarot card that actually works – the tower card – lands in Victor’s hands instead.
Meanwhile, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will wonder if they’re becoming pawns in Victor’s game.
Victor is obsessed with bringing the family together and keeps dropping strange hints about what’s ahead.
That’s enough to make anyone nervous, so Nikolas and Ava will indeed be on edge.
At Spring Ridge, Ryan is pretty on edge himself since he just hissed at Esme and demanded to know “what the hell” she’s doing.
Ryan obviously doesn’t want Esme to blow up their partnership or the scheme they’ve cooked up.
Ryan may also object to the scheming Esme’s been doing on the side, but it looks like Esme might pledge total loyalty to Ryan.
“First and last, is always to you,” Esme declares in Wednesday’s preview video.
Esme may assure the clearly not-locked-in Ryan that everything is going according to their grand plan.
