General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 26, reveals that Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) arraignment was delayed while Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) took on a new investigation. Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) also blasted Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) since she wanted her parents together instead, so here’s how all the action played out.
At the Metro Court, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) insisted that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) was a liability since she was behind Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) absence.
However, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) said he could guarantee that Esme wouldn’t be found.
Victor hinted about the world being in chaos, but he felt he was in a position to restore order – and that had to begin at home.
When Nikolas wondered what that meant, Victor revealed that he was moving in Wyndemere and shut down Nik’s objections.
At Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) place, she learned Nikolas’ written confession was gone and called him a snake for taking it back.
Ava thought about it and decided Victor was actually the one behind the theft.
Since Ava still had the video confession, that meant the person who stole the letter didn’t know about the recording.
Nina warned about the dangers of confronting Victor, but Ava’s mind was made up.
At the hospital, Georgie wasn’t happy about Austin being included in her ice cream outing with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
Georgie wanted Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to come instead and thought it was boring when Austin admitted chocolate was his favorite flavor.
Since Georgie refused to apologize, Maxie nixed the ice cream plan and left her daughter furious over Austin ruining everything.
Maxie told Austin that Georgie had it in her head that her parents should be together.
However, Maxie wanted Spinelli to find someone using Society Setups, so she admitted Zelda Telesco (Kristin Carey) was just a front for his elaborate dating app.
Sam had a brief encounter with Georgie, Maxie and Austin before Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) appeared.
Soon after, Sam joined Britt for a meeting in her office and flashed back to knowing Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) rigged the Society Setups match.
Britt wondered if Sam had ever been a jewel thief, so Sam asked what she was getting at.
After Britt showed off diamond pics and explained the safe deposit box situation, she hoped Sam could find out where Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) presumably stolen necklace came from.
Since the case was too interesting to pass up, Sam agreed to take it and shook on the deal with Britt.
Back with Georgie, she reluctantly apologized to Austin, who hoped they could think of some fun things to do together with Maxie.
At the boxing gym, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) found out the DNA test was happening and reflected on his relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Although Cody acted like he wasn’t worthy of a good father-son relationship, Dante pushed him not to sell himself short.
At the nail salon, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) got a pedicure with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and pushed her to open up.
Holly admitted to feeling a lot of confusing things, but she put on a brave face and acted like it’s just what Brits do.
Felicia admitted to getting back into private investigating, so that led to a discussion about Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and what happened in Austria.
Holly wanted to know more about Victor and remained upset over what he’d done to Luke.
In lockup, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) paid Anna a visit.
Anna understood why Robert was off the case and pushed him to get in touch with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), who could be in danger along with Charlotte.
While Robert was trying to get cell service, Anna filled Mac in on Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) working for Victor.
Robert returned and admitted he left Valentin a message since he got his voicemail.
Once Holly joined the others, she took Anna’s hands for a happy reunion. Holly reminded Mac that Felicia said he had an appointment, so he dashed off to deal with the DNA test.
That left Holly, Anna and Robert to discuss the evidence of the case.
Unfortunately, the cops found an open box of bullets at Anna’s house – and they were the same caliber as the ones from the gun in her car.
The coat from Anna’s vehicle was also confirmed to be the one the shooter was wearing.
Anna assumed Victor’s people must’ve stolen it when they broke into her house for the gun and ammunition.
Forensics had gun powder residue proof as well, so Anna knew Victor was really bending over backward to make sure she was sent away for murder.
There was talk about Victor wanting what was left of the Ice Princess and the curse that was supposedly on it.
Robert insisted that they could all agree that the Cassadines were toxic!
Over with Nina, she left Valentin a voicemail out of concern for him and hoped he could call her back.
Meanwhile, Sam met up with Dante, so they said they’d both had crazy days.
After Sam admitted Britt hired her as a PI, Dante confessed that he arrested Anna for murder.
Back at the Metro Court, Ava found Nikolas and got him to confirm Victor had the written confession.
Nikolas insisted Victor was using it as leverage to make him divorce Ava, so she wanted to gloat about the video backup.
Nikolas warned that if Ava told Victor about the video, she’d become a target.
Since Nik didn’t want Ava to end up like Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), he said Victor had to believe his plan was working.
When Victor caught the two of them talking, Nikolas told Ava that they were done here and that his lawyer would be in touch.
Victor mentioned that he’d postpone his move-in, but he let Ava know he indeed planned to live at Wyndemere.
Nikolas pretended Victor was getting his way, but he reminded him that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) thought she could control him, too – and that didn’t work out well for her!
At GH again, Cody showed up for the DNA test and met Georgie, who was pleased when he said chocolate ice cream was boring.
Georgie wanted to tag along for the test, so Mac agreed she could.
As for Cody, he spoke to Britt about the DNA test that was happening, so she hoped he got what he wanted out of it.
Back in lockup, Robert had bad news for Anna since her arraignment had been pushed to tomorrow.
After Robert vowed to get Anna out of there, Anna said then they’d go after Victor – and Holly added they should count her in.
General Hospital spoilers say Holly, Robert and Anna will no doubt make an excellent Victor takedown team!
