General Hospital Spoilers: Week of August 8 Update – Spinelli Rants At Britt – Portia Gambles With Oz’s Life

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of August 8-12 teases that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will gamble with Oz Haggerty’s (Max Faugno) life while Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) makes a tempting offer. Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) will also get assigned a tough job, so here’s what viewers can expect.

For starters, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will be so vehemently against Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) second date with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) that it raises her suspicions.

It’ll leave Britt wondering what Spinelli knows that she doesn’t.

Cody will jump in the conversation and presumably make sure Spinelli hides the truth, but it’ll be a close call that riles Spinelli up even further.

Soon after, Cody will bump into a familiar face and will react with shock.

It looks like Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) knows Cody, so perhaps Cody has a connection to Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans), Scott’s con artist former flame.

Katherine is no longer alive, but Scott may fear that Cody is carrying on the shady family legacy.

At the Metro Court, there’ll be a chef position that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) hopes to fill with a celebrity.

Jamika Pessoa will serve as a guest star, so Nina will try some dishes and encourage her to work at the hotel’s restaurant.

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will bring Nina a present later, but Nina will ultimately turn her attention to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and their relationship problems.

Sonny and Nina will try to clear the air when it comes to some of their flaws.

Back with Scott, he may get a bit suspicious of Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).

Scott will have questions about the divorce delay, so Ava will have a hard time explaining without blabbing about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll open up to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) about her concerns over Valentin and what he’s keeping from her.

Valentin will try to believe he’s got everything under control, but he’ll face more trouble when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) doubts his loyalty.

Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will also become a reluctant pawn in Anna’s game, so she’ll practically force him to help dig for Valentin dirt.

Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will also get some unfortunate updates from Martin, so those may be about Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) case.

Martin’s news may leave Lucy even further convinced that Sasha must be replaced as the Face of Deception.

After Drew and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) speak with Mia (Vanessa Mathison) the executive coach about some business tactics, Carly might have a better grip on her future.

Drew will want to take charge of the drama at ELQ, so he’ll make an offer he hopes Valentin can’t refuse.

Valentin won’t have much of a motive to compromise, so Drew’s deal may not pan out.

At the Metro Court pool, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will try to keep Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) mind off the trial’s looming outcome.

That’ll prove to be impossible since both Trina and Josslyn will fret over her fate.

Josslyn may neglect to mention how Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has resorted to jury tampering, which brings another layer of risks.

Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will apparently push Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to work this angle for a takedown, but Michael may give that a hard pass and protect Trina’s shot at freedom.

Nikolas and Victor will be concerned about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) getting the book thrown at him, so they’ll make a pitch to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Maybe Victor and Nikolas will think a story to elicit sympathy at The Invader would help.

Other GH spoilers say Rory will get an assignment that proves to be difficult.

Rory might be the offer tasked with hauling Trina away in handcuffs – that is if the verdict doesn’t work out in her favor.

While Trina continues to await that verdict, Portia and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) work on bringing Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) out of his coma ASAP.

Just before they can put their plan in motion, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will show up and could get suspicious.

Fortunately, it seems Portia and Curtis will dodge a bullet when Jordan heads off to investigate elsewhere.

Portia should give Oz the risky drug dosage and hope he safely awakens to rat out Esme, but she’ll be taking quite a gamble.

On a less drastic note, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will decide honesty is the best policy.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will have a deep discussion with Sam, who’ll confide the real reasons she’s so hesitant to live with him.

After Dante tries to allay Sam’s fears, he’ll have some police business to take care of.

Dante will make a shocking arrest to wrap up the week of August 8-12, so don’t miss all the GH action.

General Hospital spoilers say some bombshells are brewing in Port Charles.
