General Hospital Spoilers: Week of January 3 Update – Sasha’s Bad Idea – Sonny Fights for Carly – Ava’s Disturbing Revelation

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of January 3-7 tease that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will have a bad idea while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fights for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will also make a disturbing revelation, so here’s what fans can look forward to.

First, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will stir the pot by showing up at GH after visiting hours.

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) won’t be pleased over Victor’s presence, so she’ll have some harsh things to say when he seeks the latest info on Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

Later, Victor will seek out Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and perhaps hope for some father-son bonding.

Valentin will remain wary when it comes to Victor, but they might become useful to each other in the new year.

Over with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), they’ll take a significant step forward as a couple.

Portia and Curtis might agree to live together, especially since Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) is living in the dorms at college.

Speaking of Trina, she’ll be chatting with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) when Ava corners them.

Ava will take Spencer and Trina by surprise with some new info, so it sounds like this could involve a disturbing revelation.

Perhaps Ava will become privy to something alarming about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) or just pick up a bad vibe based on another interaction.

Ava might have a hunch that Esme’s plotting something when it comes to this cabin trip she won’t shut up about – and it’s obvious Esme indeed has something up her sleeve.

Other GH spoilers say Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will want Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to join his team at The Invader.

Shawn will pitch the idea of Alexis becoming a journalist and helping with his mission of exposing injustice. Alexis will just have to get past her insecurities and try to believe in herself first.

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) won’t be very receptive to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) on the footbridge at first, but he won’t think she should keep her feelings bottled up.

Drew will convince Carly to confide what’s in her heart and try to heal from the loss of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Later, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will have a warning for Drew. She’ll think Drew should be careful, so she might be concerned about Drew getting too close to the Corinthos clan and any mob drama that might bring.

Monica already lost Jason and can’t risk losing Drew again!

Then again, Monica might be concerned about matters of the heart. She might sense that Drew is pining for Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and caution him about complicating things.

Co-parenting Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) has to be the priority, but Drew thankfully understands that.

Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) revenge fixation will cause problems in his relationship since Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) won’t agree with his upcoming decision.

Willow may think the best thing they can do is just leave Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) alone and trust that she’ll leave them alone, too.

Nevertheless, Michael will continue to plot Nina’s takedown while Phyllis Caulfield offers her friend some advice.

Phyllis will give Nina a reality check and perhaps make her see that distancing herself from Sonny is the only way he’s going to repair his marriage.

Sonny and Carly will at least try to work things out in the week ahead.

We’ll see Sonny fight to recapture what they’ve lost, but Carly may not be willing to get past his secret romance with Nina yet – especially since Sonny’s still longing for Nina on some level.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will track Sonny down to see how he’s holding up and perhaps discuss a major Port Charles loss.

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will come home with news of a tragedy, so there’s been some buzz about Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) facing a grim fate offscreen.

That’ll give PC residents like Laura Collins (Genie Francis) a shock, but she’ll confide in Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) as she processes this terrible outcome.

As for Tracy, she’ll make waves like only Tracy can and will clash with Alexis as well as Sam soon enough.

Valentin warned Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that their conversation about “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August wasn’t over, so he’ll want answers soon.

Valentin will want to address the danger Brook Lynn alluded to, but Brook Lynn will try to throw him off the trail.

Even so, Valentin’s attempts to solve this mystery will create a new headache for Brook Lynn and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to contend with.

While Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) gets ready for her first date with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will give his brother a chance to meet “Bailey.”

Chase will feel guilty for lying to Finn, but he’ll keep telling himself he’s doing all this to protect Maxie’s baby.

Sasha will continue to mourn the loss of her own baby, but she won’t be interested in anyone else’s coping strategies.

Sasha will think she knows the best way to handle her sorrow, but that could lead to pushing Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) away or making a suggestion he doesn’t agree with.

Sasha might become fixated on having a future child – or maybe she’ll just want to be alone.

Either way, Brando will worry about Sasha and open up to Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) about how helpless he feels.

However, Gladys will get that Brando’s working hard to get Sasha through her struggles and will offer reassurance.

General Hospital spoilers say Sasha could be on the verge of a downward spiral if she’s not careful, so stay tuned.
