General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of September 19-23 teases that we’ll see a Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) goodbye twist before Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) threatens Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Selina Wu (Lydia Look) will also tighten her grip on Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), so here’s what viewers will see next.
For starters, we should address the whole Brando situation.
Now that Brando is awake and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is so relieved, many fans are mistakenly assuming that he’s going to be fine.
However, the show’s probably going to do some copycat scenes of when injured Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) woke up for a brief reunion with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) in 2018.
Nathan regained consciousness long enough to tell Maxie he loved her like there was no tomorrow and then flatlined!
Now it’s Brando’s turn to share one final moment with Sasha before facing his own grim fate.
GH spoilers reveal that a death will rock Port Charles – one that leaves Sonny shaken.
The hook villain will try to up his or her game and make sure the victims don’t pull through.
In other words, this person is learning from the mistake of Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) survival.
The medical report from the first fatality will bring a disturbing discovery, so poison may be found in Brando’s system.
Perhaps Brando’s medical team just doesn’t realize the hook was contaminated with a toxin at this point.
Regardless, Port Charles will be in mourning soon enough. Sonny will take the loss particularly hard since Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) thinks one of his enemies might be seeking revenge.
Fortunately, Sonny will have Mike Corbin (Max Gail) memories to give him some comfort.
Will Mike make a surprise appearance, reunite Brando with his dead son and take them both back up to heaven?
Over with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), he’ll open up to Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) in the aftermath.
TJ will have to face the loss of another patient – and the fact that Brando was a friend of his will make this blow even more crushing.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will make progress with Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) help.
Hypnosis is a common tool used to draw memories to the surface, so Kevin might give it a try with Liz.
One way or another, Elizabeth will discover a stunning clue about her past.
There’ll be some hint about the staircase incident that hopefully unlocks Liz’s trauma and aids in her understanding of what happened.
Elsewhere, Curtis will remain uneasy about Selina and the mob grip that keeps tightening on The Savoy.
There’ll also be a snag in Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) plan to save Charlotte Cassadine (Amelia McLain) from Victor’s clutches.
Luckily, Valentin is a resourceful guy who knows how to improvise.
We’ll see Valentin smooth things over in a tricky situation and hopefully keep Victor in the dark on their takedown goal.
Even so, Valentin and Anna will still have a reason to be concerned.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will get uncomfortable over Victor’s grand gesture, but she’ll try to press on with her role in the plan.
That means Lucy will pressure Victor for answers and could create more trouble.
Victor will have to deal with more Sonny drama as well – most likely because of the hook villain’s continued threat.
Sonny will deliver a fierce warning, so he may once again insist Victor will answer to him if he finds out Vic had anything to do with the attacks.
