General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Wes Ramsey (Peter August) seems to be off contract, so will Peter’s death finally end this villain’s story? According to the February 4 episode’s closing credits, Ramsey is no longer listed in a contract spot.
Of course, that feels significant considering what’s going on in Port Charles right now.
Peter just escaped from police custody and kidnapped Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt), so this whole baby plot is reaching its climax.
There have been plenty of false alarms when it comes to Peter bring written out of the show – including Peter’s “death” in the GH stairwell.
However, this time it feels different since they’ve milked about all the drama they can get out of Louise being “Bailey Quartermaine.”
It truly feels like the character of Peter has run his course in every way, so hopefully this means the end of the road.
It seems likely that Ramsey has dropped down to recurring to finish off the remainder of his deadly arc.
That’s especially true since there’s been a lot of talk in February sweeps preview info about final showdowns and fans being rewarded for their patience.
Naturally, there’s always a chance Ramsey could pop back up as a new character somewhere down the line or Peter could make an escape and avoid death.
That’s important to keep in mind considering the show’s penchant for hanging onto actors they like and giving them new roles.
Regardless, Peter has become a villain that many fans loathe – and not even in a “love to hate” sort of way like his father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
If there was ever a character that deserved to die, it’s Peter August. For real this time – no take backs!
It’s possible they’ll let Peter get away and save him for more drama later, but somehow this story feels like a true sendoff.
They’re holding nothing back when it comes to making Peter truly evil.
The real question here might be: Who will kill Peter? There’s no shortage of people who want to in Port Charles, so stay tuned to see how it all goes down.
