General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that we have to ask: Will Rena Sofer return as Lois Cerullo? Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) mom and Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) ex could end up back in Port Charles since Sofer is up for grabs, so let’s talk about this possibility.
If you haven’t heard by now, Rena Sofer has decided to leave The Bold and the Beautiful after a nine-year run as Quinn Fuller.
Sofer has already wrapped filming at B&B and plans to explore other acting opportunities along with her pottery career.
Any of the other soaps would be smart to snatch Sofer up, but she’d be especially useful to GH.
Assuming Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) romance progresses, they could end up getting engaged and married down the road.
If that happens, it seems like the show will need Lois around in some form.
Instead of recasting Lois Cerullo, perhaps they could let Sofer reprise the role she originated.
Of course, they wouldn’t have to wait for a wedding or any other grand event to bring Lois back.
It could be as simple as Lois missing Brook Lynn and wanting to spend some quality time with her.
With Lois’ background in the music industry, it’d be easy to include her in some of the drama playing out with Chase and Brook Lynn.
There would also be a chance for Lois to rekindle things with Ned and potentially land in a love triangle.
Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) was Lois’ friend back in Bensonhurst, but she’ll be less than friendly if Lois comes blowing into town again and seeks a Ned reunion!
It hasn’t been that long since Ned and Olivia’s marriage was on shaky ground, so Lois’ return could throw them into more turmoil.
Bottom line, Rena Sofer would be a fantastic cast addition right about now, so let’s hope B&B’s loss becomes GH’s gain.
It’d be great to see Sofer reprise the role of Lois Cerullo, so maybe the ABC soap will make it happen.
General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn has some disasters ahead of her, so maybe her mom will become part of the mess eventually.
