In tonight’s Good Sam episode, Sam meets her dad at a diner. They are trying to start over. But its minutes later that they are talking about the Gala and work. He draws up a treaty. He thinks they can do it. She hopes this isn’t a trick. She signs the treaty. He wants to talk about Lex. She doesn’t. They shake, calling it a truce.
Later at work, Lex is mad at Griff for not telling Sam about them. Sam offers Lex a consult on a VATS but she declines.In the ED, Lex helps an older lady who comes in with EMS. Her heart is too slow and she needs pacer works placed.
Vivian and Malcolm talk about his dad. They need him on board for some ICU renovations. Malcolm will approach him on this. Meanwhile, Griff offers up Sam to speak at the Gala. Sam wonders what he is up to.
Lex is warmed when she sees her patient Ruby tell her daughter she has a girlfriend. Meanwhile, Sam tries out some speech jokes during a procedure. Back in the ED, Ruby’s daughter is angry when she feels she is being left over when it comes to deciding he mom’s car.
Griff offers Sam a ride to the Gala. He offers her a rose. She’s still suspicious. At the Gala, Vivian is told she will make the deciding vote on who the chief should be. She isn’t happy about this.
Griff meets Malcom as Sam’s boyfriend. Its awkward but they fight through it. Sam cuts Griff off as he starts to ramble and share too much. Sam does learn however, that Malcolm doesn’t speak with his mother. Lex arrives alone. Griff catches a glimpse of her. She looks beautiful. They slip off to talk. Lex tells him she will not hide their relationship. He needs to tell Sam. Before he can, she catches them kissing.
Vivian finds Sam in the bathroom. They talk. Its Rhonda on the board who has been pitting them all against one another; telling Sam where to find Griff so she can see him talking to Lex. She also worked it so Vivian has to choose between Griff and Sam.
Vivian doesn’t waste anytime, telling Rhonda she knows what she is up to. Meanwhile, Sam tells Malcolm to talk to his dad about the ICU project. Sam heads to see her dad when she overhears him talking to Byron, Malcolm’s dad. She knew his truce was not true. He has a deal with Byron. As they fight, a freak accident occurs. A waiter ends up with glass in his neck. They work as a team to tie off his carotid. When Lex tries to help, Sam yells at her to stand back.
Lex visits Ruby. She has a manageable condition. Her and her daughter finally put their different aside. Meanwhile, Sam and Griff operate on the waiter. Lex comes in. This is her OR too. After they fight. Lex tells her they are not friends so being with Griff shouldn’t be a problem. Sam is speechless.
