In tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, its Halloween! The hospital was decorated for the holiday. Some of the doctors were even wearing costumes. Bailey was dressed up as Princess Leia and her daughter Pru was going to be dressed as an ewok. It was the third outfit change for the little girl, but she wasn’t going to complain about the free candy at the hospital. Meredith had also warned Maggie not to give her own kids that candy.

She didn’t want her kids all high on sugar. Not when she was taking them trick or treating later. Maggie had to find another way to cement her favorite auntie status. She didn’t mind on holding off on the candy. She had other things to worry about. It was one of the busiest nights at the hospital.

Maggie needed an intern to deal with all the possible heart attacks she might face from this night. Richard assigned Simone to her. Simone was still assigned to Maggie while the other interns were given a teaching task. They were asked to work on their trauma training.

They were given fresh cadavers that have been pumped with fake blood as well as fake injuries. Owen ran this task. The interns were so busy dealing with fake traumas that they missed out on the real traumas. There was two teenagers that came in injured. They had taken LSD. They had jumped off the roof because they thought they could fly. One landed in a pool. The other was in serious danger.

Maggie got the kid named in danger. His name is Jarah. He was suffering problems with his heart after his impromptu jump. The boys were so high that they thought could fly. The other kid still was high. River escaped his hospital bed. He climbed on top of an ambulance and he jumped off.

He knocked down Jo when he did so. He also fell on solid concrete. He broke his leg. He might also have a brain injury now. Teddy and Link were his doctors. Jo’s wrist was also possibly broken. Link had to order an x-ray for her. Link also had to miss a date he planned with someone dressed as a sexy nurse. And so he was ticked off.

But not as upset as the boys’ fathers were. The fathers each blamed the other’s kid for bringing drugs to the sleepover. Their kids aren’t usually the problem ones. They were in AP classes. They didn’t do drugs or get into trouble and so this was a first for them. Which Bailey understood. Bailey spoke with the dads as a fellow parent. She told them that trouble was always going to be waiting for the teenagers. She just learned herself that the drug dealers didn’t even have to come by school. They now ask people if they’re up for drugs by sending out certain emojis. The most any parent can do with a teenager is try and keep them alive.

Bailey reminded the parents that they have bigger issues to worry about than who brought the drugs. They had to worry about their kids. Both kids were in bad states. Especially Jarah. The dads calmed down. River was lucky to escape with just a mild concussion. Jarah also later pulled through surgery. Maggie noticed that Simone was distracted. She asked her about it. Simone admitted she was asked to leave her last program because her previous hospital was very much racist and she tried to talk up for patients of color. She got termed aggressive after that. She then flipped out in a supply closet. And it was all caught on tape.

It was even being shared around the hospital. The other interns saw it. They didn’t know it was Simone because Simone’s face was covered and so Simone has been trying to convince her former hospital to take down the video, but they were refusing to budge. Simone confessed all of this to Maggie. Maggie tried to help her. Maggie has worked at those sort of hospitals before. She knew they took women of color for granted. Only the interns were going to face many trials over the years. They had to face it as best as they could. This also went for Schmitt. Schmitt snapped at a nurse because he was overworked. He was the only senior resident there. And he couldn’t be split into two.

Richard talked to Schmitt about the problem. Schmitt said he couldn’t take a break because he was worried of losing another patient and so what happened last year was sitting heavy with him. Schmitt did have a breakdown after all. Richard didn’t want that to happen again and so he made a promise to Schmitt. He told him that he was going to let the attendees to step up and take some of the pressure off of Schmitt. Schmitt thanked him. He also finally went home to rest. Schmitt had been doing the work of all the senior residents because the hospital’s former residents haven’t come back. And that doesn’t look like its going to change anytime soon.

Link meanwhile realized he has feelings for Jo. Teddy talked to him about it. She told him not to pursue the relationship because it would ruin the friendship. Its what happened with her and Owen. And she now regrets it.

Simone also came clean with the other interns that she was the girl in the video and they all thought she was amazing for doing it. The others had enjoyed their trauma training. Jules had freaked out when she realized they were stabbing people who graciously donated their body to science. But Owen assured her that they said a prayer before they did anything to the bodies.

And Maggie got some news. Her husband decided to leave cardio because he couldn’t stand working with her and he wanted to save their marriage.

THE END!
