TLC’s reality show I Am Shauna Rae returns tonight with an all-new Sunday, February 1, 2022, season 1 episode 4 called “Get Off Your High Horse,” and we have your weekly I Am Shauna Rae recap below. Tonight’s I am Shauna episode begins with Shauna heading to a farm to work with large animals because she always wanted to be a vet, Rylee is tagging along. They head out to the barn to start. Rylee has a fear of horses, she thinks one might kick her and kill her. Shauna loves horses and says if you are respectful to them, they will be with you. Scott, the owner of the farm is shocked to find out that Shauna Rae is twenty-two. They clean the stalls, it’s not easy, the pitch fork is really big for Shauna, but she gets it done.
Next, they have to use a wheelbarrow to move the manure out of the stalls, she does it. Next, the body clip the horses, the clippers are heavy and Shauna can’t reach the top of him. After clipping the horses, they go on to riding them. The riding was difficult because of Shauna’s height, she is kicking the saddle, not the horse. Rylee is petrified to get up on the same horse, but she does it. Shauna tells her that she looks so tense. Shauna is the fearless sister, she is not afraid of anything. The day at the farm has pushed Shauna more to want to work with animals, she had fun and enjoyed it so much.
Shauna heads to the gynecologist, she finds out that the chemotherapy that she had can affect her ovaries. Her doctor suggests a blood test that will give them info about her ovaries.
Rylee and Shauna both want to get their driver’s licence so the two study together and test each other – but there are more giggles than there is studying. Shauna calls her older sister, she wants advice about college. Shauna thinks maybe she should do online school because of her disability, she doesn’t want to explain herself all time.
Shauna and her mom are at a tattoo shop, Shauna is getting her new tattoo. Shauna is doing the tattoo for her grandfather the inspiration is gambling and chocolate covered cherries for him. One of the drawbacks of having her mom there is that she is very cautious. Joel, her tattoo artist, tells her that she is a lot like him, she walks in the room and she owns it. The tattoo looks great, Shauna says it is perfect and her mom loves it, Joel thanks her for letting him do it.
Mark owns a puppet show business and he and Riley are putting on their first puppet show in two years. The local fire department is having a craft fair and hopefully their show will attract more people who wouldn’t normally attend. Shauna gained empathy through the puppets when she had anger issues when she was little.
It is the day of the puppet show, a power cord is missing, so Rylee is going to have to do set up on her own while her dad goes back to get it. Rylee doesn’t like to be left alone for anything and setting up the puppet show is like doing a puzzle without seeing a picture. She manages to gets a lot of it done on her own. Shauna doesn’t think she was ever an option for the puppet show, but she got to help out with some of the puppets that came in through the side and she could manage with her height. Rylee admits that she has lots of fun doing the puppet show.
