In tonight’s Little People, Big World episode, Matt was figuring out what to do with the old family home. He was even considering moving back in. Matt does need a place because he was building his dream home and the construction on that was months behind any finishing date. His current place was also too small. There was no room for Caryn and she didn’t like going over there. But she also didn’t want to move into Amy’s house. The house was Amy’s. Its where she made her home with her kids and with Matt. Caryn didn’t want to step into that. She wanted her own place. And so Matt wondered what to do with the house now that the kids were no longer an option.

Jeremy offered to buy into the farm. It didn’t work out with Matt. Then Zach offered to buy into it and again it didn’t work out with Matt. Matt likes to claim that the kids weren’t all that serious about their offers, but they had been. It was just him that was the problem. Its also why Matt now has to consider selling the house to an outside party. Someone outside of the family. Matt claims he would have liked the house to stay inside of the family only he’s already proven he wasn’t ready to share control with anyone. Not even with Caryn. Matt was the sole proprietor of the farm and that’s how he likes it. Even if he claims differently.

Matt was also wondering what would happen to the farm. If the house goes outside of the family, will that be the same fate for the farm? Matt realizes now that he shouldn’t have tried to give the farm to one person and so he talked to Caryn about leaving it to all four of his children. Turning the farm into a collective. He was talking out all of his options with his girlfriend, but he didn’t tell the kids any of it until he had made a decision. Matt wasn’t really on great speaking terms with Zach. Zach has given up on the farm. He bought a new place with his wife Tori and they were about to have their third child.

Zach talked about it with his mom. He told her how he thinks the new baby is going to be another little person. Zach has talked to a doctor and the doctor thinks he might have a super-gene in which he can only produce little people. He has two kids already who are both little people. His wife Tori doesn’t have dwarfism. She was an average-sized person. Yet, two of their three kids have the condition. Tori neverminded either way. Zach keeps harping on his super-gene. They had a doctor’s appointment in which the baby was measured and Zach couldn’t be at the appointment because of covid restrictions. And so Tori found out before he did.

Zach was with the kids while Chris actually found out Matt’s plans. He stopped by the farm to get some of Amy’s items and, while he was there, he asked Matt about the future of the place. Matt told him he was putting it on the market. He was going to sell the place. Chris took the news well to Matt’s face but he did tell his wife and they did talk about their disappointment that it was going to the kids. Chris knew that Amy wouldn’t have sold her stake in the farm so cheaply if she knew it was going to an outside source. She walked away with less than market value because she thought the house would go to one of her children.

Now, she knows differently. Amy admitted to Chris that she wouldn’t have sold to Matt if she knew this was how it was going to end and so Amy could have gone running to the kids. She could have told them that Matt was going to sell the place to a stranger. She instead let Matt tell the kids in his own way. Amy knew Matt. She knew he changes his mind frequently. Matt may decide to sell now and then change his mind months later. Matt even told Caryn that he thinks they should get engaged once they break ground on the new house. She knew him, she said she might not get an actual proposal until six years later.

But Matt did want to tell the kids himself. He was asked to come by Zach’s house by Zach. Something that needed to be celebrated. Particularly, since their falling out. Zach asked because he wanted to show off the sandbox he built for the kids and it was a finished project. Chris and his mom stopped by to see it. Chris pointed out a few tips and he and Zach finished the sandbox together. Also, by then, they found out they were having another little person. The baby has dwarfism. They didn’t find out the sex. They wanted to leave that as a surprise, but Zach really does have a dominant gene because now all three of their kids took after him.

And the episode right before Matt’s visit.

THE END!
