Tonight on CBS their reboot of the classic series Magnum P.I. airs with an all-new Friday, January 7, 2022, episode and we have your Magnum P.I. recap below. On tonight’s Magnum P.I. season 4 episode 10 “Dream Lover,” as per the CBS synopsis, “When a woman hires Magnum and Higgins to locate a man she met briefly at a coffee shop and felt a spark with, they learn that he is hiding a big secret; Higgins keeps a secret of her own after she has a romantic dream about Magnum.”

Tonights Magnum PI, episode begins with Higgins and Magnum on a sail boat, they having champagne and it looks very romantic. Magnum looks her right in the eyes, he is about to kiss her and she wakes up, it was a dream. They are in the car together and they are staking out a house, it is 2am. A man arrives at the house, he is the boyfriend, Jared, and they are having an argument, then they get naked and start making out – Magnum is getting all the photos he needs.
Higgins is at the bar with Rick when Magnum walks in, he has the photos with him and he says he is going to hand deliver them at the meeting. Magnum asks her if she revisited the dream she had yesterday, it looks like it was good. Just then, the client arrives, Emily, for the meeting. She is new to the island, she was having a coffee yesterday at a café when a guy, Mikal, bumped into her and knocked all things on the floor. He buys her a muffin and they talk, he wanted to know everything about her and the conversation flowed easily. He looked at his watch and announced that he had an appointment, so he said goodbye and left. She tried to find him on social media, but couldn’t. She felt she had a connection with him and want Higgins and Magnum to find him.
Higgins finds Mikal, there are only six on the island with a named spelled like that and one fits the age that Emily described. The other client doesn’t want to see the photographs, but she wants her husband served with divorce papers; Higgins said they should divide and conquer, she will handle Emily’s case. Magnum wants to go with her, so he asks Rick to do a favor for him and serve the papers and in return he will pay his whole bar tab in full.
Magnum tells Higgins that he thinks it is romantic what Emily is doing. Magnum asks her if there is anyone she pines for, even in a dream. He then tells her that when she had the dream in the car, when she fell asleep, she mentioned his name a few times. She admits that she had the dream and it was sexy. He asks her how he was, she says it was PG-13. He is smiling, he says it is normal, she broke up with Ethan and they spend a lot of time together. She asks if he had dreams about her, he says no.
