Tonight’s episode begins with a dead soldier involved in a car accident. Former Army Phillip Hanch was wearing his gear and he was in fact near the Quantico compound when he came out of nowhere and got hit by a car. Everything else got smooshed as well. Hanch’s cell phone was crushed. The only thing that survived the car accident was his flask and everyone prayed that he had one last sip before being flattened. But it is curious why he was at the compound. Hanch is no longer serving since he was honorably discharged back in 2014 and he hasn’t held down a real job since. He’s been investing in cryptocurrency. It’s been going so bad that he was over fifty thousand dollars in credit card debt and he was living in reduced means.

Hanch’s only family was his ex-wife. She left after she lost him to conspiracy theories and that’s why he got kicked out of the army. There was therefore no reason why he should have been wearing the gear much less be near Quantico. Palmer’s autopsy was also short because it was clear the cause of deaf was the military truck that ran him over, but Palmer still wanted to test the flask to see what was Hanch carrying and so he brought it to Kasie. They were testing it when the call came in to not open the flask. It was a little too late because they had already done so. They also became trapped when the building went into protective mode.

The liquid in the flask wasn’t alcohol. It was a biotoxin. Once the system detected it was in the building it locked down everything and it became a problem for everyone. Palmer’s daughter had come to work with him. She was suspended from school for fighting and so she was hanging around at the office when Kasie’s lab sealed itself off. Victoria who is not so little anymore had asked if everything was okay. They told her it was. They said that her father was in lockdown, but that she could still see him and she could. She had to see him through a glass door, but it worked and the preteen was calmed down.

It also helped that she got to talk to the doctor they brought in for his occasion. Dr. Carol Wilson was legendary in biotoxins and she told Victoria that there was nothing to worry about, but she was lying and she later told the rest of the team as much. She told them that time was critical. She tried to get into contact with an expert at the CDC and she couldn’t reach him and so they video-called the CDC. They spoke with a guy there who was more worried about protecting his paycheck than reporting the fact that their researcher in bioweapons has gone missing. It turns out the toxins that were used were created in Russia. And their doctor had created a cure for it because it was feared it would be in a domestic terrorist attack.

But no one knew about Hanch. Hanch joined a collective online that was being run by a guy who called himself the Raven and he concocted a plan to cause a “revolution”. There was no telling if he was American or not yet this man convinced Americans to turn on their own country and so this Raven was dangerous. The team went looking for him. They couldn’t find Dr. Pastov because they suspected he had been kidnapped. The only way to find the cure was to find the Raven and so they looked. They investigated his online profile. His movements. They found people that were dumb enough to listen to the guy and it turns out no one knew it was a terrorist attack. They all thought they were dumping laxatives into government personnel’s water supply.

Or at least that’s what one guy thought. Its why he helped. That and the fact that he was getting paid in cryptocurrency to help the Raven. The dummy even left plans to what he thought was a prank to be found and so that’s how the team learned that the Raven was planning a series of attacks. They split up. They all went to separate locations with the military adding as back up and they were later able to free Pastov. Pastov was asked for the antidote to the bioweapon. He created one. It got brought to Palmer and Kasie and the two were saved from dying. But it had been a close call for them.

Both Palmer and Kasie almost died. Kasie was considering a change of job earlier and so Palmer thought she would be leaving after this however she decided to stay on. She signed her new contract for the next five years. And so the only thing that took away from the occasion was the sad truth that she didn’t capture the Raven.

They caught everyone but the Raven and so he’s free to do this again.
