The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that the show may be setting up Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) get-out-of-jail-free card. Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) trick could ruin Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) happiness with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) once it’s exposed.
Many B&B fans are already complaining on social media because they can see the finish line before it ever arrives.
There’s no guarantee of how this story will go, but most of us have been watching long enough to understand their predictable formulas.
There’s naturally going to be major New Year’s Eve fallout now that Ridge knows about the kiss and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) staying overnight.
However, at the end of a long and winding road, Ridge may end up happy with Brooke again.
Of course, that’s not surprising considering how often the show tears “Bridge” apart just to put them back together.
It’s usually just a matter of how long it takes Brooke and Ridge to come back around.
The key to Brooke earning forgiveness just might be the whole truth about that night.
There’s obviously a huge piece of the puzzle that hasn’t been revealed to the characters yet.
Sheila switched the label on Brooke’s nonalcoholic Champagne bottle, so she wound up guzzling glass after glass of the real thing.
That led to Brooke already being drunk when she insisted on doing shots with Deacon.
Sheila set Brooke’s betrayal in motion, so who’s really to blame?
Some might say Brooke still bears some responsibility since the booze made her more willing to surrender to desires that were already there.
On the other hand, it’s not a crime to have lingering feelings and desires for a former flame. After all, Ridge and Taylor certainly have some!
If Brooke hadn’t been drunk due to Sheila’s trick, then perhaps she would’ve been able to control her worst impulses.
The kiss might never have happened, and Deacon might’ve been sent home.
Then again, Brooke isn’t known for her loyalty, so no one can really say for sure!
Regardless, it’s easy to see why viewers might grumble about this built-in excuse that’ll make Ridge have more sympathy for targeted Brooke.
If the end of the story puts Brooke and Ridge right back where they started, what was the point?
Ridge may heat things up with Taylor only to realize what Sheila did and break Taylor’s heart with a “Bridge” reunion.
