The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Douglas Forrester Recast – Django Ferri Takes Over for Henry Joseph Samiri

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the role of Douglas Forrester has been recast, so Django Ferri is taking over for Henry Joseph Samiri permanently. Ferri had been tapped as a temporary replacement, but SOD confirms that he’ll now be sticking around as Douglas for good.

Of course, we should talk about the new storyline that’s kicking off involving Douglas and his family’s future.

Douglas has mostly been living with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Beth Spencer (River Davidson), but that could change soon.

During the week of August 8-12, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will corner Hope and Liam with something that’s been on his mind.

Now that Thomas has been rehabilitated and is finally in a stable place, he’ll want to take on more responsibilities as a father.

Thomas currently enjoys having Douglas over for visits, but that’s not the same as being a full-time dad.

Since Thomas will hope to take on a bigger presence in Douglas’ life, he’ll suggest his son should officially move back in with him.

Hope will be rocked to the core when she hears Thomas’ huge news.

Since Hope loves having Douglas there at the cabin with her own family unit, the idea of Thomas moving him out will be unsettling.

Naturally, Thomas may argue that Hope can still have plenty of time with Douglas, but she’ll fear things won’t be the same.

Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) will assure Hope that there’s no need to worry and will offer a pep talk about things working out.

Hope will try to believe that, but Thomas could push harder on the issue and launch a custody battle if need be.

The drama may not get that far, but the point is we’re gearing up for a storyline centered around Douglas – and that means Django Ferri should get some good material in the coming months.

You can catch Ferri’s Douglas debut starting August 11.

Many fans will hate to see Henry Joseph Samiri go, but we certainly want to give Django Ferri a warm welcome and let him put his own spin on the role.
