The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is likely alive and recovering. Let’s talk about Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) and Li Finnegan’s (Naomi Matsuda) secret collusion to protect Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) husband.
The show obviously wants viewers to believe that Finn is dead and gone forever, but we have to believe they would’ve handled this story differently if that was true.
They didn’t really play up the sadness and instead focused on Li’s anger in the aftermath of Finn’s shooting.
Li kept speaking about Finn in the present and insisted she was taking care of her son now.
Li also got riled at one point and told the Forresters that Finn was dead TO all of them, which suggested she was merely letting them believe Finn was deceased.
Li refused to let Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) see Finn’s body, so fans never got real confirmation on the dead doc.
B&B let us see Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) cold corpse, so why not Finn’s?
We’d say it’s because Li has Finn stashed away for a recovery elsewhere.
Finn may have been revived in the ambulance, but Li might suspect that Sheila had a hand in what happened to him.
It’s safer for Finn if Sheila believes he’s dead – and that requires this elaborate lie to everyone.
Another piece of evidence that Finn is alive came when Li supposedly met Deputy Chief Baker for the first time. It seemed like they’d met before if you ask us!
At the hospital, Baker and Li exchanged a look like perhaps they were keeping a secret together.
Li even offered a slight nod like she was acknowledging what they were hiding as a team.
It’s reasonable to think Baker agreed to Li’s plan and is going along with her decision to let everyone think Finn’s dead.
Finn may actually be in a coma trying to fight his way back to Steffy and the family they created together.
Of course, Steffy has this side plot going on right now where she thinks Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is her husband instead, but that’s just some great drama to play out in the meantime.
It’ll help to complicate things once Finn most likely returns from the dead.
Li is a doctor and may truly be taking care of Finn like she claims.
Jack Finnegan’s (Ted King) absence following Finn’s death was also glaring, but that just backs up the idea that Finn isn’t genuinely gone for good.
Jack may be in on the scheme to pretend Finn is deceased for the time being.
All signs point to Finn being alive and fighting his way back to health for an epic comeback eventually.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy seems poised to get a miraculous second chance with Finn down the road, so stay tuned!
