The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) may be gearing up for their first fight after their reunion. Will Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) adoptive mom role lead to conflict?
In the August 30 episode, Finn already seemed concerned about how the Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) situation was affecting Hope.
The fact that Finn’s asking about Hope and her feelings shows he cares.
Of course, Steffy was quick to argue that Hope should only be feeling gratitude.
From Steffy’s perspective, Douglas belongs with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), so she thinks Hope should be pleased to see him happy in the Forrester family home.
However, there’s a deeper issue here that could ultimately cause more conflict.
Finn was willing to drop the subject in that moment – perhaps knowing it’d rile Steffy up if he took it any further.
What happens if Finn eventually just can’t hold his tongue? After all, Finn and Steffy can’t keep gushing over each other forever.
We get that Steffy and Finn are still on cloud nine over their miraculous reunion, but their bubble has to burst sooner or later.
Pretty much any couple is going to have some squabbles, especially on a soap like B&B.
There’s the potential for a quarrel here, especially since the Forresters keep playing up Thomas’ biological connection to Douglas.
That could be a sore spot for Finn, who loves his own adoptive mom dearly.
Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) isn’t any less of a parent because she isn’t biologically related to Finn.
This whole Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) ordeal only strengthened Finn’s connection to Li and solidified his view of her as his true mother.
If Finn feels like Hope is getting overlooked as an adoptive mom, that could become an issue he feels the need to speak up about.
It’d be a great way to include Finn in the custody drama and hear a bit more about his perspective.
Naturally, Steffy isn’t against adoptive parents or trying to stop Hope from filling the void Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) left behind.
That said, Steffy does think Thomas’ role as Douglas’ bio dad is most important and fully expects Hope to take a step back.
Now that Finn has brought up Hope’s feelings, could this set the stage for a big fight with Steffy? Will Finn side with Hope and create some hostility?
