The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, January 14, reveals that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) professed his undying love to Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) – and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) investigated for signs of success.
At home on Friday’s B&B episode, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) noticed that Brooke had been quiet on their way home from another meeting.
Deacon knew Brooke must still be thinking about New Year’s Eve, so Brooke admitted that night would trouble her for a long time.
Ridge hated that he wasn’t there for Brooke and promised she’d never feel that kind of loneliness again.
Meanwhile, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) wrapped up a session with a model.
They knew Brooke had wanted to see that design, so they were puzzled over why she’d gone MIA.
Steffy acknowledged that Brooke was upset over Ridge not making it back to ring in the new year.
However, not showing up to work because of that seemed pretty petty – even for Brooke!
Thomas suggested they should assume it’s not that, but he couldn’t figure out what else might be the reason.
Steffy felt like if it was going to affect the company, she should know what was going on.
When Ridge joined Thomas and Steffy at Forrester Creations, he faced questions about Brooke being a no-show again. Steffy wondered what was going on and suggested they wanted to help.
After Thomas asked if this had something to do with Deacon, Steffy ranted about how his presence was a huge slap in the face.
Steffy felt inviting Deacon back in the picture opened Brooke up to his bad decisions and influence.
Steffy argued that they didn’t know what Brooke might do next and feared another scandal was brewing.
Thomas and Steffy admitted that they missed their dad. Now Ridge goes home to the Logans and Deacon, so that wasn’t something that Steffy and Thomas approved of.
Thomas thought that maybe Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) could keep Ridge out of Brooke’s next scandal.
Steffy agreed that Ridge had to take control of his life before Brooke brought him down again.
At Il Giardino, Deacon rushed to mop up since he had someone special to see. He told his supervisor before Sheila sauntered over with questions about whether that was Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) or perhaps Brooke.
Sheila figured it was Brooke and guessed New Year’s Eve must’ve been really successful.
Deacon wondered why Sheila kept bringing that night up, but Sheila argued that she was living vicariously through him.
Sheila suggested Deacon was way ahead of her in terms of progress, but Deacon admitted he hadn’t seen Brooke or Hope since New Year’s Eve.
After Sheila questioned Deacon about the reason, she didn’t buy his claims of being busy with work obligations.
Sheila thought staying away from Brooke’s house might’ve been Brooke’s idea instead.
Once Deacon took off, Sheila smiled and chuckled to herself. She thought that must’ve been “one hell of a party” and pondered whether she’d been successful in getting Brooke to drink again.
Sheila thought back to her Champagne label swap and basically acted like Brooke sealed her own fate with her earlier threat.
Back at home, Brooke flipped out when Deacon showed up. She reminded Deacon that he wasn’t welcome there, but Deacon couldn’t stop thinking about what happened between them.
All Deacon could think about was kissing Brooke, but she reminded him that she was drunk.
Brooke wasn’t blaming Deacon for what happened, though she did wish there was someone to blame. She confirmed that she’d been going to meetings and that Ridge had been quite supportive.
Deacon was surprised over Brooke’s decision to tell Ridge, but she clarified that he didn’t know about Deacon staying over that night and neither did Hope.
Brooke reiterated that Deacon couldn’t be there, but he thought he should be coming around more! He said it would raise red flags if Brooke tried to keep him off the property.
Brooke refused to invite Deacon back and insisted she couldn’t see him anymore. She felt that kiss never should’ve happened and still couldn’t understand why she drank that night.
Deacon argued that maybe Ridge not making it back for New Year’s Eve was the last straw.
Deacon ranted about how many times Ridge had let Brooke down – and now Taylor was involved.
Brooke snapped about how she was sure Taylor was waiting in the wings and ready to pounce if something went wrong.
Deacon felt like their latest kiss released some deep inner desire. He recalled how they created something amazing in Hope, who would love to see her parents back together.
Brooke argued that if Ridge found out exactly what she did that night, he would leave her.
Brooke refused to let that happen, but Deacon couldn’t bury his feelings any longer.
Deacon grabbed Brooke to get her attention and urged her to listen to him. “I love you…I’ve always loved you and I always will,” Deacon said as he stared at Brooke intensely.
