The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, September 2, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) overheard a sad John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) while Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) learned she was the only woman for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
At Il Giardino, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Dominic) got Finn set up at a table and kept trying to signal Sheila to leave. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) showed up and joined Finn, who remained full of gratitude for all the help Bill had provided.
Deacon brought some drinks on the house and left Bill suspicious. Although Deacon hissed at Sheila to get out of there, she stuck around for a bit to eavesdrop on Finn and Bill’s conversation.
Bill acted like Sheila’s deadly bear attack was a fitting end, but Finn acknowledged it was a brutal way to go. Although Finn didn’t understand the things Sheila did, he said she gave birth to him and that he wouldn’t be there without Sheila.
Back in Deacon’s apartment later, he scolded Sheila for venturing out to the restaurant. Sheila defended her move since she brought Deacon his phone and was on cloud nine over seeing Finn.
Deacon warned it couldn’t happen again, but Sheila was elated over the sadness in Finn’s voice. Sheila argued that Finn missed her and was sad that she “died.”
Deacon warned Sheila not to get any wild ideas, but she insisted this changed everything. Since Sheila felt she had a chance at a relationship with Finn, there was no way she was leaving Los Angeles.
At Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) feared Thomas might manipulate Hope into letting him keep Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri). Brooke shared Liam’s concerns about Thomas as they rehashed his unstable, threatening history.
When Liam returned to the cabin, he was frustrated over Hope not replying to his texts. Liam flashed back to when he exposed Thomas’ knowledge of Beth Spencer’s (River Davidson) survival and faced off with him on the Forrester Creations roof.
In the present on Friday’s B&B episode, Liam seemed worried and didn’t want Hope to let Thomas get inside her head.
At the Forrester mansion, Hope played a game with Thomas and Douglas, who said he loved spending more time with his dad and was having a blast.
Douglas hoped he could spend even more time with Thomas, who wanted the same thing and hugged him. In a moment alone, Thomas assured Hope that he didn’t coach Douglas to say any of that, which she believed.
Thomas knew he had deceived Hope so many times, but he made a vow to be a better man and believed he’d straightened himself out. Although Hope could see that Douglas was having fun, she also felt it was partly because this was all exciting and new at the Forrester mansion.
Hope thought Douglas needed to be with his family at the cabin, so she didn’t understand why Thomas was trying to take this from their son or from her. Thomas insisted he wasn’t trying to hurt anyone and that he wanted what was best for Douglas.
Ideally, Thomas pointed out that Douglas would live with both of them, but he knew that was impossible since Hope was with Liam. Even so, Thomas admitted he was a one-woman man – and that woman was Hope.
