The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) needs a new man. Selfish Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and manipulative Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) aren’t good matches at this point, so is it time for B&B to pair Hope up with someone else?
It’s obvious that Hope loves Liam, but he hasn’t treated her right throughout more of their relationship. Think about how many times Liam has turned to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) over the years – including when Liam mistakenly thought Hope cheated on him with Thomas.
Liam jumped to the wrong conclusion when he saw Thomas with that Hope mannequin and ran to Steffy immediately. The result was a drunken hookup and a paternity mystery that certainly put his marriage to the test.
Hope was able to get past that and so much more – like all the hit-and-run deception that landed Liam behind bars. We’re talking about an extremely patient and forgiving woman here, so it’s ridiculous that Liam pitched such a fit over attending the Hope for the Future preview.
Can you imagine John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) threatening to withhold support from Steffy like that? It’s tough to even picture it since Finn is such a wonderful, loyal husband.
We get that Liam is concerned about the threat Thomas poses, but whining about how he didn’t want to watch Thomas’ success wasn’t a good look. Liam’s recent behavior led to him getting dragged on social media, so now many viewers are calling for Hope to get a new man.
Steffy was lucky to break free from Liam when she did, so could it be Hope’s turn next? Of course, Thomas would love the chance to be with Hope, but he’s not a great option either. It’s just hard to forget Thomas’ obsessed and abusive history when it comes to Hope.
That’s especially true since Thomas continues to fantasize about Hope as he battles his fixation. Thomas doesn’t love Hope in a healthy way and perhaps never will.
There’s also the matter of the CPS call setup, which destroyed Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) marriage. Hope doesn’t need to be with a guy who uses Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) and actively plots against her mother like that.
There aren’t a lot of other options for Hope on canvas, but B&B might cast another love interest for Hope at some point. Hope needs to find freedom from Liam the waffler like Steffy did – and not with devious Thomas!
It’d be so easy for the show to bring on some handsome former flame from Italy or perhaps a new Forrester executive. Even if Hope went back to Liam in the end, maybe some proper competition would teach him a lesson and offer some character growth.
