The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Is this Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) exit story? Will the CPS call setup ruin Thomas’ redemption and take this destroyed dad off canvas?
For a while, it seemed like the writers were at least trying to keep Thomas on a better path.
Thomas had zero chemistry with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), but at least he was interested in someone besides Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) briefly.
We also saw Thomas come clean about Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) recording, so he helped clear Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) name in the hit-and-run accident.
Thomas was moving in the right direction, but now the show’s throwing all his progress out the window.
When Thomas was pointing that knife at Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and making all those creepy “I’m serious…keep it up” comments, he seemed like a lunatic.
There may not have been legitimate danger, but it wasn’t a good look for Thomas to be waving a knife around.
Now we’ve got this CPS call situation, which Brooke obviously isn’t to blame for.
Thomas is the most logical person to frame Brooke since he knew she threatened to call CPS and that she had a problem with the knife incident.
However, a stable person doesn’t use a voice changer app to set up their child’s grandmother.
It was Thomas’ idea to recruit Walter Barnes (Steve Richard Harris) so they could listen to the recording, so that was clearly part of his plan to “expose” Brooke.
To make matters worse, Thomas mostly did this for parent-trapping purposes.
The way Thomas and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) act about Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) belonging with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) is downright juvenile.
If B&B truly cared about Thomas, he’d be living his own life and would have a sizzling love story with someone new by now.
Instead, it seems like they only see value in using Thomas for shady behavior and to stir up trouble.
Of course, they can only do that so many times before it’s the last straw.
It wasn’t that long ago that Thomas kept quiet for dangerous Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), which left Steffy and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) vulnerable to her in that alley.
That’s on top of all Thomas’ abusive, manipulative behavior in the past. Thomas is using Douglas once again since that CPS call dragged his son into the drama and forced him to face questions.
What happens once Thomas’ bogus Brooke call comes to light? Ridge and Hope are bound to be livid, so Thomas could face custody consequences and lose Douglas.
Thomas might land in a mental health facility or perhaps just leave town in shame. No matter how all this goes down, B&B is making it hard to imagine what they can do with Thomas other than write him out!
